A friend of mine introduced me to the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club (Breakfast Rotary Charitable Foundation) 7 1/2 years ago. I had no intention of joining the club - just volunteering. But once I met the club members, and started volunteering in ways that touched my heart, I told my friend "I must join this club!" Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self" and it is reflected in the club's members. They are such loving & giving people. The club has done amazing things for the community, like installing lightning detection in all parks and school fields. Additionally, I have made life long friends. Rotary has truly changed my life.
If anyone is interested in giving back, hearing the weekly speakers (which have opened up the world to me), and meeting incredible people, I highly recommend the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club.
