Mission: The organization enables all young people, especiall at-risk youth, to reach their full potential as responsible, productive, caring citizens. Activities focus on academic success, good character, citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
Programs: After-school activities offer an array of opportunities and life-enhancing programs to at-risk youth. Professional staff and volunteers provide homework tutoring, life skills training, and character development activities. Youth participate in physical fitness, conflict resolution, social recreation, arts, music, community service projects, and other high level learning activities. Attendance averages 75 per day. For most families the club is the only affordable child care option.
the jack and ruth schweppe summer day camp is an extension of the afterschool program. The summer camp provides youth with educational and recreational enrichment activities to reduce summer learning loss. Students participate in stem activities and field trips in addition to the programs normally offered during the school year. Summer camp provides affordable, summer child care and enrichment activities to those who need it most.
