Mission: The mission of boston ten point coalition is to mobilize the christian community on behalf of black and latino youth at high risk for violence, drug abuse and other destructive behavior.
Programs: Gang mediation initiative utilizes a strategy of building coalition support among key actors in violence prevention. Community residents volunteers, clergy, and police participate in a series of meetings to discuss strategies to combat violence amongst rival gang members. Community cluster initiative is the evolution btpcs strategy to develop and engage faith-based organizations and agencies in direct community intervention. Btpc develops collaborations among clergy and lay leaders, community leaders, law enforcement, public schools and residents to effectively engage with youth and residents of these communities, especially high risk.
