I was a product of a father who wanted a boy. Never to give up as a younger man with polio who walked on his hands, Dad instilled in me a sense of pride and values that would rival any person of the "Greatest Generation on Earth". As Dad was one of eight in his family, he grew up during the depression where he WAS told to work to support the family. I grew up loved and cherished. His special ability with a violin, from day one, was the most inspiring, as he took his talents as a first string violinist with the Salem Philharmonic Orchestra in Salem, Massachusetts. Never looking back or the lack of gratitude, I sought the services of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a long standing non-profit organization since 1911, where I volunteered twenty five years of my life in addition to my full time commitment to a full time job. I took on leadership roles and being an inductee to the Hall of Fame. I have certain loves. As a result of the TPA experience, I continue to be a sighted guide to the BlindSail program from the Carrol Center of the Blind, in Newton, Madsachusetts, as a sighted guide at the Courageous Sailing Center in Charleston, Massachusetts. My most conservative passion is music! As a baritone, I sing with the Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus in Weston, Massachusetts, as a 501c3, Boston Bel Canto Opera Singers in Boston, the First Congregational Church in Stoneham, and St Patrick's in Stoneham where I spread my time. Any consideration to any of these organizations would be most appreciated. You may contact me by email at thomasr192@aol.com or call me directly at 978-766-4737. My Sincere Thank You!
