Mission: The mission of the boothbay railway village is to conserve, display and interpret artifacts, authentic period structures and technologies utilized in maine during the historical period of the mid-19th through the mid-20th centuries.
Programs: The organization operates a museum featuring objects relevant to village life in maine between about 1850 - 1950. Collection items include historic structures, railroad equipment, carriages & automobiles, antique engines, and more. The museum operates a narrow gauge railroad and also offers year-round education programs including classes and lectures for all ages. Annual visitation is approximately 30,000 guests.
