Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Literacy, Remedial Reading & Encouragement
Mission: Connecting teachers in high poverty schools with donors to give books to the schools. This is done via the bookmentors website, where teachers request books and donors give money which bookmentors uses to fulfill the requests.
Programs: In 2014 we evaluated the launch of the web site and decided that we needed to do another round of development to drive more donations to the site. We came up with a plan for new features (book drives, gift cards, etc) and a plan for pr, and received a second donation from our original benefactor. We designed the 2. 0 version and worked with our web site developer on implementation.
