Bonfolk Giving Good was a blessing. We are a non-profit serving those experiencing homelessness and low income situations called Peace House Community. Our community members walk a lot and socks are a necessary item that we cannot always provide. I reached out to Bonfolk Giving Good and they got back to me right away and were so easy to work with. The process and communication were fantastic. We received 200 socks shortly after I requested them and that will make a tremendous difference in the lives of those we serve. I'm thrilled to have found them and will recommend them to anyway who asks! Thank you again for your work and generosity!
Hello my name is Ellen Houck and I don't really know how to do this. So I'm just going to start it like this. My house is falling apart. Every since the 2021 winter storm. My roof has been leaking. I tried to get fema to help but my property is in my mom's name and she passed away years ago. I have done everything I could do. So due to the roof leak my bathroom floor is about to fall in. My toilet has already fell and now it's being held up by a cinder block. My toilet is off the wax ring and the sewage smells is coming in my house. I have toxic mold in my house. I had got it tested. I keep getting yeast infection and all of this toxins are making me sick. I have called several people and it's always something. I need help. I don't need your money. I will accept just the materials. Please I'm very uncomfortable in my house and I have no where else to go. You can get in contact with me at my phone number. If I don't answer the phone it's because I live in the woods. 3183686584. Thank you very much for your time
Bonfolk Giving Good has been supporting the Harry Tompson Center for years, providing over 1200 pair of socks each year for our unhoused guests. Our Center gives out ~400 pair of socks per week to people experiencing homelessness. Without fail, Bonfolk has our back, helping us restock with speed and efficiency. Their leadership team and staff are kind, hardworking, and dedicated. We love working with them and know that our guests are so appreciative for the socks and towels they provide.
I WANT TO SAY A GIANT THANK YOU TO BONFOLK GIVING GOOD. THEY PROVIDED OUR NON-PROFIT WITH SEVERAL HUNDRED SOCKS, THAT WE WERE ABLE TO DONATE TO THE RESIDENTS OF FIVE HOMELESS SHELTERS IN THE GREATER HARTFORD AND GREATER SPRINGFIELD, MASS AREAS. THE FEEDBACK THAT I RECEIVED FROM THE SHELTER DIRECTORS WAS AN OVERWHELMING EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE. GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU AGAIN.
Bonfolk is SUCH an amazing organization!! They donate socks to our organization to distribute to the unhoused community. They are super easy to work with and our clients love the quality of their socks.
I am a program director at Unity Recovery, a non-profit recovery community organization based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We offer recovery support services and drop-in centers free of charge for individuals seeking recovery support, information, or simply a safe place to exist. Many of the individuals we serve are unhoused and struggle to meet their basic needs.
Over a year ago, I reached out to Bonfolk in the hopes that they could help us provide clean socks to our guests and community members. Kim responded and generously supplied us with a few boxes of socks that we were able to distribute along with other essential supplies. Since that initial contact, Bonfolk has continued to support us with numerous boxes of much-needed socks, and we couldn't be more grateful for their ongoing generosity.
Socks are one of our most requested items and are often difficult for us to provide due to cost. Clean socks are incredibly important for our community members. For those experiencing homelessness, access to clean socks can prevent foot infections and other health issues, provide comfort, and maintain a sense of dignity. The simple act of putting on a fresh pair of socks can make a significant difference in someone's day. Bonfolk's contributions have helped us meet this critical need and have made a positive impact on the lives of many individuals in our community.
