Mission: To strengthen human sciences' research, outreach, and teaching institutions of higher education by positioning human sciences in higher education as vital to the advancement of knowledge critical to societal issues; supporting the development and stewardship of academic excellence; and advocating for a sustained and enhanced funding to support human sciences research/discovery, teaching/learning, and outreach programs. The vision is to advance learning, discovery, and engagement that reflect an appreciation of humans as biological, social, and cultural members of complex, scientific, economic, technological, and psycholsocial systems.
Programs: Advance the position of human sciences in higher education and enhance excellence in human sciences programs. There are multiple participating institutions across the united states and puerto rico.
