Mission: The Black United Fund of Oregon's mission is to assist in the social and economic development of Oregon's low-income communities and to contribute to a broader understanding of culturally diverse groups. We began as a means to ameliorate the special problems faced by Oregon's African American community and while this community remains a special focus, we have expanded our mission to address the needs of all of Oregon's low-income residents. The Black United Fund has channeled more than $4 million into low-income communities through grants and services to nearly 700 nonprofit organizations in Oregon.
