Target demographics: help children reach their potential through one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 352 youth
Geographic areas served: Southern Nevada
Programs: We offer two core types of donor-funded programs: Community-Based - These matches engage in activities in the community and on a schedule arranged between the Big, Little, and parent or guardian. The impact is that children are more likely to make better choices in the future when they have a caring adult in their life. Matches meet at least once a month, doing activities in the community that the Big and Little enjoy. Site-Based Mentoring - We deliver our Site Based program in eight elementary schools within Clark County School District and several afterschool sites. During their one hour per week meeting matches work on homework and/or literacy. They also have fun playing games indoors and on the playground. Our program goals include improved grades, fewer absence and better behavior at school.
