When you are searching for acceptance, understanding and patience the world can feel overwhelming! I have never had to worry about my son at school because I know he is with family. The love, smiles, laughter, and encouragement that the BTS family portray to all that enter their doors is remarkable and deserves recognition! I know that our family appreciates them all more than words could ever convey! Thank you all for your continued kindness and unwavering support to all the children's lives you touch and inspire everyday! BTS is amazing and our family is honored to be a part of them!
BEYOND THE SPECTRUM!!!
I was there for 4 months and let go last Friday. It was my DREAM job. I worked with kind wonderful people (so I thought) and AMAZING children. I have 22 years experience in autism and just recovered from cancer. Out of nowhere they pulled me into a meeting and accused me of blatant lies. It was all hearsay so I imagine the staff ganged up on me but were so nice to my face. They wouldn't even let me speak to anyone afterwards so I have no clue where any of it came from. Kicking someone out right before Christmas so now I can't pay my bills or buy presents for my daughter. I put in my most creative efforts and always did the best for those kids. LIKE I SAID, MY DREAM JOB. They ripped me away from them and I never got to say goodbye. Everything was a lie. I trusted the 5 people I worked with. I considered them friends and I finally felt like I'd found my home. They dumped all my belongings on the front outside door and said to come get it or it would be in the garbage by morning. This has never happened to me. However, I did find out afterwards that I was not the 1st person they'd done this to. I've cried for 5 days now because I can only imagine the lies they told my students. These beautiful 12-14 year old very autistic children that I had this incredible relationship with. My thoughts go everywhere but I'm so saddened and mistrusting of everyone and everything now. Don't let them fool you or lie to you. Ms. Jenifer, the director, and her staff are two-faced and evil. I worry most about the children in their care. DON'T SEND YOUR CHILDREN THERE EITHER!!
My son is a completely different kid from the time he started at BTS until now. He’s still the same wonderful boy with his same loving, spirited personality but they have helped us calm down his behaviors so that he (and we) can enjoy life again. I am so grateful we found somewhere that is not only welcome and accepting but also loving and inspiring. Every member of the staff has been absolutely amazing and they consistently go above and beyond. He actually loves going to school and is excited to run inside and see his therapists and friends. He even had his first play date with a fellow client he met at school and that never would have been possible without BTS. We are so grateful for their expertise, understanding and desire to meet him where he is while also working to help him be better.
This school does such great things in the community. I know families who have loved their time there because of how dedicated the staff is. Keep up the good work, Beyond the Spectrum!
So grateful to have Beyond the Spectrum as a resource for my family and others in the community. You can tell the teachers and therapists are truly passionate about what they do, and that makes such a difference in the lives of students!
It is an honor to watch the staff and therapists at Beyond the Spectrum work with their clients and students. They work tirelessly to help the kids live their best life!
I am amazed (and in awe of) the teachers, assistants, RBTs and BCBAs at BTS! I have the privilege of watching them every day transforming the lives of their students. In return their students are living their best lives! Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter makes my day brighter.
After struggling to find a facility who had the resources and ability to assist my son with his education, we made the switch to BTS and have been absolutely thrilled ever since. My son loves getting up and going to school everyday. His teachers, assistants and the director are all very amazing and talented professionals. We are so thrilled to continue our education with BTS for years to follow. Thank you BTS for everything you've done, do and will continue to do. ❤️

Our son was the first student enrolled at Beyond the Spectrum over 10+ years ago. It was our best decision we made. BTS has come so far and getting better every day. The focus entirely is on the students, staff and families to be happy and become better. Thank you Beyond the Spectrum.
I have been a member of the BTS family since 2017. It has been wonderful to see all the many positive changes in our students over the years. Truly inspiring.
Beyond the spectrum is a loving community full of amazing people. It truly impacts people's lives in a very positive way.
We’re new this year at Beyond the Spectrum and we are just blown away at everything - our son lovesssss going to school and counts down to go right back. So I know they are doing something right for sure! He absolutely loves it and everyone has been beyond amazing! Everyone is so nice and it’s just been an amazing experience! So glad we found Beyond the Spectrum and thank them so much for everything they do!
We are new at Beyond the Spectrum this year and we love it! The admission process was smooth and everyone has been so helpful. Our son loves his teachers, aides, and everyone at BTS. We are very happy to have found this amazing school.
We have been raising our first granddaughter since birth. When she was in 5th grade we had to start looking for a middle school for her. There was no place in our public school system for her. She was also going to therapy. The therapists told us about Beyond the Spectrum. We checked it out. We were so impressed. We knew that was the place for her. She is autistic and deaf. She also had behavioral problems. They handled all of her. They helped shape her and also supported us. Any questions or any problems they were there. Beyond the Spectrum is a fantastic place with even more fantastic people. They truly care about each and every child. We are so glad we found them.
We are so incredibly blessed to have Beyond the Spectrum in our lives. My son started with the OT when he was 1 and was able to start at the school a couple years later. The staff goes above and beyond to help him grow into the little boy that he is today. They not only invest their time but their hearts. They celebrate with us with every step he takes. They have become apart of our family. He has grown in leaps and bounds with the support and help from Beyond the Spectrum. He feels safety and security there, which is so important, as well as love and devotion. As a mom, it gives me peace knowing that he is with people who care so much as well as being prepared for whatever life brings. I am so thankful for the staff at Beyond the Spectrum. It is truly one in a million.
My daughter has blossomed since being at BTS the last 2 1/2 years. When in an ESE public school classroom, she was always in trouble for her disabilities including crying! She began to hate school and her self-esteem was low. She also seemed to repeat the same education every year with no advancement. At BTS, she loves school again, is making academic strides, is treated with love and dignity, and given tools to help her cope. She also is given the full array of services right at school without being limited to what is listed on an IEP. We love BTS!
My son has been a student at BTS’s Maripisa program for the past 10 years. I have seen great gains for him in his ability to be in diverse social situations and do beautifully, act maturely and responsibly. He enjoys gong to school everyday. He has several diagnoses and the Mariposa program has been able to address and meet his diverse needs. I so appreciate the therapies that he has access to daily as well as specials such as dance and volunteering for Mother’s Helping Mother’s! This is a well rounded program with very loving caring teachers, aids, therapists and staff.
Had a bad experience with another local school and Beyond the Spectrum came to the rescue, our son has been going to BTS now since he was 5.
I am very proud to say that I am a Teacher at Beyond The Spectrum. This school is amazing. Every child knows that they are safe and loved. The teachers all are amazing and love what they do. We have amazing services weekly like OT, speech, music, ABA and even dance! This school goes beyond any other school that I know!
As a sibling of a student attending BTS and as a staff member, I am thankful to be able to see the level of care that goes into serving members of our community every day. I always hear teachers brainstorming ideas on how they can best teach their students, and the amount of positive collaboration that happens throughout the school day is exceptional. There is nothing but love and support at Beyond the Spectrum, and I am so happy that the students here get to experience it!
I never thought we would find a school full of such beautiful people. The administration; Lora, Sharon, Loren, Laura, & Peggy are always helpful and inviting. What a difference that makes!
My son’s teacher for the second year in a row is the kindest, most loving, patient person on the planet. Ms. Anna continually finds ways to make learning fun while Mr. Paul & Ms. Janni support her and ensure the students are successful (and safe).
Other things that make BTS special : Class sizes are small, sensory issues are accommodated, & there’s daily two way written and verbal communication. The children are the top priority with everyone, not money.
Last but not least, The Running Club is genius! This picture is my favorite of Milo with his beloved teacher, Ms. Anna.
Beyond the Spectrum has been home for me as an employee for 7 years. The passion of the staff to help the students achieve their highest potential is admirable. I have seen first hand the immeasurable difference the school and therapy clinic has made for so many families in our community.
I have never felt that my child was "wanted"at any school. When we found Beyond the Spectrum, not only did they want him, they helped him beyond our wildest dreams!! They are family oriented and believe in a multi step approach with the kids. From ABA to speech, music therapy and OT. Interactive metronome and riding therapy are being added to the program next school year. What a godsend this school has been for us!
