I purchased my service dog in training Boone from BEST Service dogs and the experience has surpassed expectations. He is calm, stable, biddable, easy to train and confident - everything I could have asked for in a service dog prospect. He has blown me away since the day I met him! At 5 months old he is excelling in training, already doing short public access outings and has been comfortable in every environment I've brought him into.

Jan is knowledgeable, experienced and very skilled at placing service dog prospects in well-matched homes. I specifically needed a calmer dog and my boy has been a perfect fit. Jan is the type of breeder you will be happy to send updates to and keep in touch with.

I can't recommend BEST Service Dogs enough!

We're SO glad we found Jan and B.E.S.T. Service Dogs! After listening carefully to our special needs, meeting us, and introducing us to her lovely litter of puppies, Jan provided us with our sweet Bear. Smart, beautiful, intuitive and sweet, Bear continues to astonish us with the speed at which he learns and his desire to please. We love Bear beyond measure and can't thank Jan enough. Jan's breeding program and her puppies are truly the BEST!

Jan helped set us up with our wonderful dog Elena. She has been nothing but helpful. Elena couldn’t be a better puppy or service dog prospect. She’s been a wonderful addition to our family

BEST SERVICE DOGS, were able to provide us with the most loving gentle Black English Labrador named Stormy Sky. He will be going through the Service Animal Training for my wife who is a 100% Service Connected Wounded Combat Vet. This Non profit organization focuses on making sure all their fur kids are healthy and placed in a loving nurturing home. Our family feels complete now.

I got my first well bred dog from BEST. It has been nothing short of an amazing experience. I was paired with a perfect match for me. My pup is still young but has blown me away every step of the way. My pup now named Elena was been successful with socalization , her classes , and has turned into a beautiful service dog in training. This experience had been nothing like any other dog I’ve ever had and Jan (the breeder) has celebrated with us every step of the way. We will never get a dog from anyone else ever again. These dogs are solid , well bred , and sweet as can be. She has been the most patient , quite , kind hearted , easily motivated dog I’ve ever met. I am so happy to have this pup.

In 2011 I got a small glimpse of the type of support that a well trained service dog can offer. During my recovery from a viral infection which effected my nervous system from the waist down, I spent weeks of recovery hospitalization, including intensive physical therapy, I was pretty depressed and discouraged with my lack of improvement until I got the emotional support that I needed from a big brown Labrador retriever service dog. His visits strengthened my resolve to work harder with my physical therapists, and resulted in my ultimate recovery. While my experience with a service dog's support pales in comparison with those children who are afflicted with autism and veterans who experience PTSD, it has opened my eyes to the importance of the development of top notch service dogs. My wife and I recently adopted a puppy from B.E.S.T. Service Dogs and have found her to be intelligent, mild mannered, and eager to please. In short we could not be happier! My wife and I really appreciate Jan's knowledge of all things canine, and we admire her dedication to breeding the very best dogs, many of whom go on to be service dogs all over the country. Throughout our experience of adopting our puppy Jan has enthusiastically answered our many questions, and worked to ensure that we will provide a good home for our very special puppy. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend supporting B.E.S.T. Service dogs through donations, volunteering, and adoption of a terrific pup!

A few years ago, I got a wonderful puppy from B.E.S.T. Service Dogs to raise and train for therapy work with children. When the Covid lockdown came and we couldn't be around sick children, she turned into a therapy dog for my family. This was a huge blessing when severe illness came to our home. The comfort she provided is immeasurable. Her empathy and understanding are deeper than any other dog I've ever had - and I've always had a dog. She has a deep, innate sense of what is needed in the moment. These are miraculous dogs doing great work. They are making a real - and good - difference in the world. I am now a dedicated monthly donor.

I am a professionally certified assistance dog instructor, graduated from Bergin University of Canine Studies and hold my CPDT-KA. I have been working with both program and owner-trained service dogs for 16 years and have personally raised and trained 14 different dogs.

I received my first B.E.S.T bred puppy in 2021, and brought two other of her littermates home to clients. These three puppies are, without question, some of the best service dog prospects I have ever had the pleasure to work with! They are resilient and driven, but have the right balance of low energy and emotional softness as well. It's hard for me to describe my "ideal" service dog prospect, but all of the labs I've met through Jan's program fit exactly what I want.

I've also had the pleasure to work with Jan during whelpings and raisings of her puppies. She is an excellent caregiver and knowledgeable and skilled in helping her dogs have smooth sailings during their pregnancies and puppy rearing.

I highly recommend B.E.S.T for anyone searching for a service dog prospect, whether they are an owner-trainer or work through a program!
