Mission: The corporation is organized for the purposes of (a) providing training and educational services to the general public and to organize programs for the purpose of workforce development, (b) operating a one-stop career center that is funded and administered as contemplated by the federal workforce innovation and opportunity act of 2014, in collaboration with the city of pittsfield, massachusetts department of career services, and other government and nonprofit agencies, (c) offering educational programs in connection with federal and state workforce education programs, such as high school equivalency and youthworks, and (d) carrying out any other charitable purpose that is consistent with the purposes listed in section 1. 2(a)-(c) and that is permitted to be caried out by a corporation organized under chapter 180 of the massachusetts general laws ("chapter 180").

(bte) has an exceptional 38-history of providing a full range of federal workforce investment act (now workforce innovations and opportunities act - wioa) and related services including business services, education, occupational skills, work experiences, career readiness, job placement, career counseling, and case management to both the youth and adult populations.
