Causes: Arts & Culture, Ballet
Mission: A. To produce artistic performances for public exhibition, primarily but not limited to works of dance, performed in the classical form of ballet. B. To provide educational services by operating a school of dance, specializing in but not limited to the teaching of classical ballet technique, with classes open to members of the public, and available for all ages and skill levels, serving recreational, professional, and aspiring-professional students.
Programs: Statement of activitieswe conducted summer and fall classes at rented locations from july 1 december 31 while we renovated and outfitted the existing studio space at our new facility. We conducted auditions and rehearsals in rented space and put our first production on stage in december at the san mateo performing arts center with attendance of 2,800 as well as toured the production to reno, nv, dancing to two sold out houses. January 1, 2014 we began classes at our permanent location in the one studio while we built out the other three studio spaces. Once all the studios were completed, we expanded our class offerings to children and adults as well as offered professional class. In april we held auditions for our summer intensive program to take place in july. We signed a contract with the san mateo performing arts center for three shows to take place during our next fiscal year as well as formalized our december tour to reno, nevada.
