Mission: The mission of CalCLAD is to protect and advance the legal rights of deaf and hard-of-hearing Californians to nondiscrimination in and full access to public and private employment, services and facilities, both directly, through client services to individuals and organizations, and indirectly, through community legal education and technical assistance.
Programs: 1. Legal consultation and referral to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and to businesses and government agencies serving them. 2. Systems and impact advocacy, including legislative and judicial on behalf of deaf and/or hard-of-hearing people. 3. Deaf Women's Advocacy Project - In partnership with a another legal services program and a domestic violence program to serve deaf women survivors of domestic violence or stalking.
