Programs: Baptist health medical group, inc. (bhmg) is organized & operated to benefit the member hospitals of baptist healthcare system. Bhmg employs 550 physicians & operates numerous primary & specialty physician practices in kentucky & indiana. During fiscal year 2017, bhmg had 2,705,931 patient visits at 232 locations. These primary care business lines were established to address the declining number of primary care physicians & the growing need for less costly & more convenient community-based healthcare locations within the communities served. They provide high quality care to patients requiring urgent primary care services & extend the continuum of care for patients requiring diagnostic, surgical or emergency intervention through associations with local area hospitals & physician specialists.
