Causes: Community Coalitions, Counseling, Human Services, Mental Health, Mental Health Treatment, Personal Social Services
Mission: As an alliance of therapists, researchers, and minor-attracted people (MAPs), B4U-ACT’s mission is to promote a science-informed understanding about people in our communities with an attraction to children or adolescents, and to support them living in truth and dignity.
Results: * MAPs in our communities living within the law with self-respect and dignity. * Children are safer when MAPs have a positive sense of well-being and feel supported.
Target demographics: (1) Individuals who are sexually attracted to children or adolescents (minor-attracted people). (2) Mental health professionals who work with MAPs. (3) Academics conducting non-forensic research on MAPs.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Hundreds of minor attracted people, mental health professionals serving them, and academic conducting non-forensic research on MAPs.
