Mission: To further the interests of onslow memorial hospital in jacksonville, nc and improve the welfare of its patients and staff through the service of the auxiliary's volunteer membership.
Programs: Volunteers provided over 22,000 service hours to the hospital and performed a variety of duties including providing wheelchair and walking assistance to patients; supplying patients with reading materials; assisting hospital administrators with clerical work; and staffing the visitors desk. Funds raised by the auxiliary through gift shop sales and sales events for the benefit of hospital staff were used to provide a cash donation to the hospital and to fund scholarships for students in the healthcare field.
