Mission: The Audubon Society of the District of Columbia organizes and promotes bird conservation and bird-centric environmental education in the city of Washington, DC.
Programs: We hold a series of birdwatching field trips throughout the year. They are a relaxed and educational series open to interested birders of all skill levels. We also organize the annual C&O Canal midwinter bird survey, counting the numbers of birds seen along the entire 185 mile length of the historic C&O Canal towpath.
