Causes: International
Mission: We help individuals and communities restore dignity and build resilience in the face of poverty and marginalization. AVSI-USA sustains long-term partnerships with local organizations to enhance capacity and broaden impact in the areas of education, early childhood and youth development, economic livelihoods and health and nutrition. AVSI-USA connects people across borders, creating opportunities for solidarity and friendship that go beyond simple economic support towards enriching life experiences.
Target demographics: promote human development with a focus on education, following the Catholic social principles of dignity, solidarity and subsidiarity.
Geographic areas served: 30 countries worldwide in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia
Programs: humanitarian and development projects in partnership with private donors, bilateral and International agencies and businesses.
