Carl Rickert, a retired Army warrant officer, died in September at 46. Her left behind a loving family but his 12 year old son, Aaron, was especially devastated. Carl taught his son about service through church and very active participation in Boy Scouts. Carl exemplified service through continuing after retirement as a civil servant dedicated to teaching, coaching, mentoring, leading. These are the qualities that his profession embodies. The Association of Military Legal Administrators seeks to give Aaron a good start on a college education that his father strived to provide for his son.
