I enjoy going there and seeing all the friendly, helpful people. If u need help and they can't do they will get u help. My husband is a very big on reading, so they tell me I can't leave without taking some books. LOL!. As you may know they can be costly, so he is very grateful for them. Otherwise I have been able to get some very nice things from my very first set of dishes to lots of different item's. I also refer people to them for programs, and to donate their. Thanks for all you Do! I do wish there would be a lower price for patrons to pay so they could enjoy the fundraiser as well!

I've been with Associated Charities almost 4 years now. And their staff is some of the most good hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. And what the charities accomplished on only donations is a miracle.
They don't charge a cent to qualified low income people. And the programs they have are fantastic. They have birthday gifts for 1 to 10 year olds. Baby bundles for newborns. Clothes and supplies for back to school. Christmas gifts and stockings. Decorations for all the holidays. So come in and sign up, donate, or volunteer. They very much appreciate anything to help or to help those in need.

I joined Associated Charities about 2 years ago. To this day I am amazed at what they get done with what they have to work with. I give kudos to the staff and how well they keep the system going. I only volunteer 6 hours a week but would do more if not for health problems and previous commitments. My wife has been there more than 3 years. It is the greatest place to volunteer, very satisfying way to give back.

I currently volunteer at Associated Charities. The reason I first came here was because, after much research, this was the only place that did not charge less fortunate people for the things they need to live everyday. After being here almost a year, I found they are so much more than I thought. The director, Delight, is the most caring person I have ever worked for. And the people I work with are the kindest people I have ever meet. Everyone goes beyond what is ask of them.
What they do for people is unbelievable. They have birthday gifts for the children, school clothes and supplies for back to school, baby gifts for newborns, coats and blankets to keep them warm and so much more.
I plan to keep volunteering as long as possible and am thankful I found this place. A smile from our clients makes it all worthwhile.
I'd also like to thank all the people who donate. Without them they could not help as many people as they do.

Love the different programs the Associated Charities runs each and every year. Solely funded by donations and grants. They’ve made an amazing impact on our town and surrounding areas. Not only have I been a client, I’ve also donated and volunteered there. Outstanding group of people that work there. Always going above and beyond to help those in need.

The Charity operates with remarkable efficiency, while maintaining excellent service. I volunteer weekly in the store and observe courteous and helpful staff greeting customers by name, offering advice, and processing donations. The store is always clean and tidy.

As a board member, I know how tight funding gets at times. Yet the Charities rolls along without a hitch. That's largely due to the dedication and ingenuity of the executive director, Delight Creech.

Associated Charities is the example of a great nonprofit. We are the only nonprofit around that provides clothing at no cost to our clients. We're able to do that because of the generosity of our community!

One of the best things about the charities is that they give away all items that are donated there is no reselling of the items which ensures that those clients who need their services are able to get the items that they need without spending their very limited resources. The staff of the Charities goes out of it's way to be kind, and respectful to every patron. Giving a helping hand to those in our community with dignity.

I volunteer at Associated Charities and so I see the employees and other volunteers who want to help families receive free clothing and books so they can help themselves overcome some of life's hurdles. It is led by one spectacular woman, Delight Creech. God bless her.

Associated Charities is one of Lenawee's longest running non profit organizations. They provide clothing and household items to those in need, free of charge. The shopping experience they provide is top notch. There are several fundraising events held throughout the year to allow this program to continue to serve the community and give back. Proud to have them in my town.

Today was the last day of Back to School shopping and I was privileged to be one of the volunteers helping. The Charities is set up to resemble a department store, families come in and pick out Two outfits, shoes if available, New undies, New socks and backpac for each child. They chose what they want , their favorite colors and styles. Today I was honored to watch a young girl come in, shy and quiet and leave with a huge smile on her face because she found a pair of shoes she loved and made her feel special. This is why The Charities is such a special place, it is set up to allow the people who use it to keep their dignity and to leave with a smile on their face.

I was asked to be on the board last year and oh my have my eyes been opened! How much that is accomplished on a relatively small budget is amazing. There is such dedication by board members and staff, it is a testament to each and everyone of them.I feel humbled by the work done by these few people, that makes a difference in the lives of so many.

Associated Charities of Lenawee County has been assisting residents for over 100 years. They always give Lenawee County residents a chance to better themselves when it is needed. All the donations in the store are free to those who want to be a part of the program. Especially with special programs they have throughout the year for special services. For example, Toys for Lenawee; Back To School program; and many more.

Associated Charities is the only charity that does not charge for their products. They also collaborate with other agencies in the community so they don't duplicate services. I am proud to have Associated Charities in our community.

Associated Charities is there for the community when needed. There have been several instances that I have had to call on them to help out persons in dire need of winter coats and they have always said YES, send them over! It didn't matter that these individuals were not registered clients of AC. They were helped anyway. That is what community is all about....helping those that need it...without judgment...that's my experience with Associated Charities.
