Mission: The asian bar association of washington student scholarship foundation raises and awards scholarship funds to support qualified asian pacific american (apa) students attending accredited law schools in washington state; to promote justice, equity and opportunity for apa law students; to increase the number of apa attorneys; to foster leadership and service in apa law students and attorneys in the profession and in our diverse communities; and, to create a lasting legacy for generations of apa law students and attorneys in washington state.
Programs: Scholarship:the abawssf is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to students of asian pacific heritage currently attending law schools in the state of washington. Applicants are required to describe their contributions to the asian pacific american community and their plans to contribute to the community following graduation from law school.
outreach: the abawssf awarded a grant to the asian bar association of washington (a 501(c)(6)) organization to help outreach to law students and asian pacific american attorneys in eastern washington.
