Mission: Arts|learning is a thought leader and change agent promoting arts education policies, practices and partnerships in ma public education, pre-k - college. A|l is a non-profit catalyst that accomplishes this mission through strategic objectives which - re-imagines school/district models - builds networks/alliances - advocates for strong, sequential, curricular arts programs/integration - facilitates school/higher education/arts organization partnerships - provides professional development. - convenes education leaders and arts experts to promote awareness, dialogue, and community
Programs: State policy pilot program (sp3), funded in part by the americans for arts, has several partners(mascreative, the mcc, the ma dese, young audiences, edvestors, project learn). The group has beenworking on several initiatives to improve arts education policy through work with the ma dese, mabese, and other stakeholders to improve access and participation in arts education in every school districtin the commonwealth. School arts leaders program (sal): working with three at-needs school districts (springfield, weymouth,worcester) to help school principals in 5 schools develop and implement an arts strategic plan. We are inyear 2 working with these districts (implementation stage).
