Causes: Arts & Culture, Fund Raising & Fund Distribution
Mission: Working to support, develop and promote access to the arts. Keeping art central to life in clackamas county, benefiting all citizens. This is accomplished via education, public art, grants and services for organizations, artists, business partners and civic leaders.
Programs: The alliance distributes cultural trust/ coalition grants to artists and organizations within greater clacakams county. These grants are distributed to fund projects produced by arts, heritage and humanities organizations. Projects by individual artists in all disciplines may be funded if they collaborate with those organizations.
funding to maintain art in public spaces. This program provides artists space in public buildings to display their art. This is a curated program with the pieces being managed by a professional curator. It benefits the general public exposing them to local artists as well as providing a cultural experience.
youth arts for change is administered by the staff. The program provides artistic opportunities to underserved and at risk youth in clackamas county. The various programs are presented by professional artists and facilitators working directly with the young people.
the staff holds an annual art symposium to help train artists and provide them with oppotunities to network with other artists. In addition staff works with the general public promoting art and culture in clackamas county working with tourism, heritage and other organizations.
