Causes: Arts & Culture
Mission: To promote local and emerging artists, further art appreciation among visitors and residents with donated art for raffle and auction and to support the misson of the mount dora center for the arts.
Programs: During 2017, artisans on fifth promoted local artists through a variety of advertising and promotional events. The artisans on fifth gallery shop had 11,755 visitors in 2017. In october the annual bravo event was held in conjunction with breast cancer awareness month, raising $6,223. This was presented to the breast cancer center at florida hospital waterman, located in taveres, fl. The money is to be used to provide mamograms to women in need. In addition, a scholarship fund has been developed in the memory of marilyn dodge who died in 2012. This fund donated $1,000. 00 in 2017 to the mount dora womens committee of fine arts for the presentation of a scholarship to a local art student, to further their art education.
