Volunteering with The Art of Giving Foundation has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I’ve had the pleasure of working on several mural projects at Chicago Public Schools, and it’s incredible to see the impact this organization has on the community. By bringing vibrant, inspiring artwork into schools, they create a beautiful environment for kids to learn and grow in every day.
The Art of Giving truly understands the power of art to uplift and transform. Each mural not only brightens the physical space but also enriches students’ daily experiences, sparking curiosity and creativity. You can see the joy in the kids’ faces when they see these colorful, inspiring pieces in their hallways and classrooms. It’s amazing how something as simple as a mural can create such a sense of pride and connection in a school community.
The Art of Giving Foundation is more than just an arts organization; it’s a movement that brings people together to make a difference. I feel lucky to be part of something so impactful, and I highly recommend volunteering with them. The work they do is incredibly meaningful, and the memories you’ll make are unforgettable.
During my life, I have been deeply affected by the suffering and cruelty that I have witnessed against animals and humans.
It feels as if no matter what one does to help to alleviate such sadness and despair, there's more occurring.
One day a thought came to me. Why don't I do my own research and support local, national and international non-profits that are truly helping others?
That's when I came across Autumn Pippenburg's Art of Giving Foundation.
Her foundation focuses on the arts and art therapies for ANY Chicago Public School student
who needs them. After working with children and their families for close to two decades, I've witnessed the profound, positive changes the arts have done for humans, animals, and our environment.
Children and families who have their own dreams and obstacles are offered opportunities and a chance to share THEIR VOICES and IDEAS when the arts are presented to them.
Please get involved in The Art of Giving Foundation in ways that are comfortable to you. It is truly a remarkable organization.
ALL CHILDREN and their families deserve this.
Learning and expressing yourself thru the arts is great for your mental health and the soul. Something the world and especially our youth need more than ever today. The Art of Giving Foundation is one of the best at understanding and using their expertise to teach some of Chicagos most vulnerable. As a past president and founder of ASHF Chicagos most lauded homeless ecosystem serving thousands, i have seen first hand the Art of Givings commitment and the positive and creative social impact they have on the lives of their participants.
Art is a timeless transfer of emotion. It captures a fleeting moment and transforms it into an experience that others can see, feel, and understand. Art is a gift that connects us.
Witnessing Autumn's passion for inspiring art programs in Chicago Public Schools was truly inspiring. It's a powerful reminder that life without art is impoverished, dull, and potentially harmful. Suppressing emotions is detrimental. Thank you to the Art of Giving for leaving the world a more beautiful place!
The Art of Giving Foundation is a wonderful organization that does so much for the community. Thank you for everything you do.
