Mission: Like-minded rafting company owners whose intent is to promote and protect the use of the arkansas river for commercial rafting through joint advertising efforts and by the pooling of resources against possible legal issues which could limit the owners' use of the arkansas river.
Programs: Work with the arkansas headwaters rec area in the formation and implementation of management plans and commercial permits necessary for commercial use of the arkansas river. Monitor the voluntary flow program, which is designed to keep the river at a minimum flow of 700 cfs from july 1-august 15 in browns canyon, bighorn sheep canyon and royal gorge. Educate community and commercial users on environmental issues in the arkansas river valley. Protect users of the arkansas river relating to water rights and legal issues. This is not limited to aroa or commercial users. Maintain website to promote the general use of the arkansas river.
