Kindred Hearts Transport Connections Inc. is an amazing group that arranges for volunteers to transport rescue pets from where the pet was not wanted to where they are. My husband & I have been driving for them for about 5 or 6 years. A reference from them gets drivers instantly approved with other groups. They have that great of a reputation.
I volunteer tp transport when on comes my way (Philadelphia/Delaware/New Jersey area. Everything about this organization ia amazing. They are organized and very descriptive.
It is a pleasure to volunteer transporting for them.
M. Rankin claimed to be able to transport with donation. Left many, AND the dog in a cage for 900 days hanging. What's up with this "rescue"!?

kindredheartstransport 02/13/2021
Oliver, we do not have any volunteers by that name. I have no idea what you are referring to. We never request a donation from anyone when we transport their pets.
Absolutely love this organization! They transpoted my rescue from Northern California to southeast Texas. I was even able to see the route and each volunteer took pictures and posted them! What a fantastic group of caring people!. Fallon is my dog they brought me.
Can you tell me why I was removed from group with no explanation?

kindredheartstransport 02/13/2021
Nanceenni, our lawyer advised us that we were to never give an explanation as that can lead to liable and slander accusations. That would be why.
I am so thankful for Kindreds Hearts. Such an amazing group! After over four months of not having Molly and Zeus (while I was finding a new house for the three of us) in our new city and state they arrived. A wonderful group of volunteers that transported, housed and LOVED them for two weeks. I continue to tell people, Vets even on line services like Chewy what an amazing group you all are. Thank you so much for your love. Please be well my friends. I’ll be joining as an application reviewer when all is well.
This organization is top notch! Our rescue transported a dog from Lafayette, LA to New Jersey with them, and we were so pleased with the volunteers we worked with, the communication during transport, and their compassion towards our dog. Very professional and pleasant to work with.
I’m a transporter for KHTC and have been for over a decade! I love the way the entire team treats all the dogs as if they were their own. Plus all the care they take to make sure all dogs and transporters are safe. KHTC priority and I can’t ever see myself not driving along the I-84 up north for them.

I'm so proud to be a volunteer driver for KHTC and be a small link in a very large cog. I'm also a recipient! Bentley was a very sick basset that needed to get out of a situation and FAST! Enter KHTC!! I KNOW how KHTC operates and the wonderful volunteers that treat every dog as he/she were their own. I know they could make this happen.... And they did with a medical emergency transport! With much anxiety (on my part) and much finesse (on theirs) my sick boy was on his way. What a sad sight he was. All the drivers took pics along the way and there wasn't one hitch. What a great day it was when Bentley aka Cooper arrived. I feel that same excitement every time I help with a leg or two to get a precious soul a new home! They are the best. But I know that, known it for years. Thank you KHTC and every single person under it's banner! Bentley is now a picture of health and very happy!
I decided to get into rescue pet transport last fall and I am SOOOO LUCKY that Kindred Hearts was the first organization I connected with. They operate so professionally and efficiently, it seems to make every transport flow like a well-oiled machine. They care so much, not only about the pets, rescues and fosters that they transport for, but also about their drivers and behind-the-scenes volunteers. I have transported for a few other organizations since starting in rescue transport last year, and all I can is that Kindred really set the bar high when it comes to volunteering with an organization that you can have faith in and know what you're doing is worth every bit of your time and personal expense that you put into.

Oh, thank you for the time, energy and effort you put forward for KHTC. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the great review. Sincerely, Sherry
I love this group. 6 years ago I was going to foster a 3 yr old adorable red headed step child I call him. His name is Koda and he was in a horrible living situation in Norther Calif. I was wondering how he was going to get from Calif to Colorado. then I was introduced to KHTC. They are the best, they kept me posted on this 3 week adventure. All the volunteers, kept me posted too. The drivers, the overnight people, the staff, the pictures were adorable. And then finally he arrived and I thought he was going to jump in my arms and that was it. Oy, was I wrong, but it took trust on both are sides and after 6-8 mo’s we were on our way. Now 6 years later, Koda is my best friend. He doesn’t leave my side, he even goes to work with me. I think he has a little social anxiety and so do I. I hate leaving him. So we have been matched by our souls. So thank you KHTC.
Oh did I mention I loved the group so much, I too am a volunteer when I can. It is the most rewarding thing in the world to bring man and animal together.
Thank you so much,
Sincerely, Kat Lieblick

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful story!! Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your dedication to Koda! It is great when you read someone has put in the time needed to get the relationship to work. So happy for you both. Sincerely, Sherry
Extremely organized. Safety conscious for rescues as Well as drivers and their own pets. Good communication.
Kindred hearts brought our rescued pit bull Symphony all the way from Nashville to Sacramento, one volunteer at a time. There is an amazing network of volunteers to drive, host and do home checks to ensure animals are going to safe environments. I was so impressed with everyone, and now volunteer with them whenever possible. They are extremely professional, compassionate, communicate well and make things possible that would never seem feasible. Thank you Kindred hearts, I highly recommend!!
I drive for several rescue transport groups. Kindred Hearts is a favorite because the coordinators are very organized and compassionate. Great people accomplishing wonderful things.
I have been honored to assist in transport with KHTC. Kindred Hearts does an amazing work, coordinating transports all across the country to place abandoned innocents in safe homes wherever they are found.
I work in Rescue, and do a bit of everything, depending on the need. Often, animals need to move, and move NOW, and this group is incredibly efficient, without compromising standards or safety. That is not as easy to find as one might think. This is a fabulous group to work with: well-connected, widely networked and integrity beyond question.
They are amazing with getting lost or adopted animals from one part of the country to another not sure how they can improve
Wanted to help the animals. Doing transport is an easy way to help when you can't have anymore animals! My first transport was a little scary with the responsibility but this group is amazing!! The best communication, attentive to drivers, highest quality of care for the animals!! Someday when I retire will do more transporting!
In January of 2019, I adopted 2 dogs from GA after their owner died and they were going to be put in a shelter. I live in AZ. KHTC transported these 2 safely, through 26 drivers across the United States over a 3 day period. During these 3 days there were constant updates and pictures as they were passed from Driver to Driver. Pictures of their overnight stays in volunteer homes. These dogs were treated with kindness, compassion, and love from each and every volunteer of KHTC. I was so touched and impressed with KHTC, I am now one of the volunteer drivers for other animals that come through the Phoenix area on their way to their new homes somewhere else in the Country. This experience has been so rewarding and touching as I have come in contact with each and every animal. I can't begin to explain the love that the KHTC volunteers give to these pets along their journey.
The expertise and planning it takes to organize these runs is nothing short of amazing. The Kindred Heart organization and volunteers have the animal’s BEST interest at heart - always. So if you read a story or review about a run or two that didn’t turn out as expected or planned, please keep this in mind. It is about what is best for the animal. I recently became a volunteer transporter because I saw the dedication and commitment first hand (through a run I requested). The communication and updates are fantastic. Keep up the wonderful and much needed work! I support KHTC.
I am the lucky Mom to Woody who Kindred Hearts transported from Tennessee to California 3 years ago. What an amazing organization and I fell in love with the fact that these angels would give of their time to give fur babies a chance of a good life! Last yr moved from California to Louisiana and became a driver myself. Love everything these guys stand for!!
I am a Kindred Hearts Connection Transport (KHTC) volunteer, foster and rescue volunteer. I have sent some of my fosters to adopters or to other rescues via KHTC, and I also drive and provide overnight housing (“slumber pawties”) for KHTC rescues coming through my area. All my experiences with KHTC has been amazing. I can’t say enough good about this organization!
KHTC was the transport we used to get Buddy aka Papi from California to Kentucky
What a great team of volunteers! Unfortunately Buddy didn’t work out in Kentucky so we reversed the transport and sent him home to California for health reasons. KHTC was helpful and the volunteers from the transporters and transport coordinator this team is awesome!!!
What a wonderful organization! All I wanted was a chance to volunteer with a rescue, and I found that most rescues do not have a place for a person with limited and sporadic time availability. KHTC was happy to have me, and I am thrilled to be of use to such a great organization!
I have been with KHTC for about 4 years. I started transporting and was amazed at how it all works. Of course I became hooked on transporting but wanted to do even more. I chose Kindred as the place I wanted to be. Kindred is the most organized transport co. That Ihave driven for. As an “insider” I can say that our volunteers never cease to amaze me. Theyare always willing to go that extra mile /leg. I would and fo highly recommend KHTC as a safe and secure way to transport your loved ones!
I've been a volunteer with Kindred Hearts Transport Connection for a few years and never cease to be amazed at how organized, professional, on-time, and well-run this organization is. Every single person is an animal lover and it's made clear by the amount of time, energy, and love that goes into keeping this organization running smoothly.
I've also done some behind the scenes work with KHTC and it's no small feat to keep it running as smoothly as it does, but the volunteers are tireless and good people, to boot. I can't say enough good things about KHTC and the people who run it.
I am a volunteer driver for Kindred Hearts Transport & also provide weekend & week long stays for dogs being transported. By far the most satisfying & rewarding pasttime I have ever engaged in. I am always watching for a trip coming my way. The transport coordinators map out the routes & keep track of who is driving which portion, where the meeting points are & deal with any situations that arise. We all volunteer our time & gas to get the animals to safety & love & spoil them like they are our own. This is a fierce group of people who do not think twice when asked to fill a spot. I am proud to be a KHTC driver & look forward to many more miles & meeting many more fur friends!
I have done pet rescue transport for almost five years. The first transport organization I became aware of is Kindred Hearts Transport Connection through a newspaper article. Because of KHTC, I have done well over 100 transports for this organization and others. Every single time there has been a transport in my area, KHTC has beautifully and meticulously organized the details for the drivers. So many lovely and loving pets have found their forever homes through KHTC. I am so glad to be a part of the wonderful work being done by this group.
I can’t thank KHTC enough or say enough good things about this amazing organization!
My journey with KHTC began in 2013 when I arranged with them to bring 2 dogs, mother and son, from Brighton TN to Utah. KHTC was VERY thorough
& kept me informed every step of the way. Miko & Mari arrived safely & are still with us. I was so impressed with this group that I used them once more (so far) to bring my mother a dog from Boaz AL! KHTC cares so much about the pets & the transporters that I decided to join KHTC & help with transports! Best feeling in the world is knowing that we played a little part in giving a pet a new leash on life!
KHTC, I’m so proud & grateful to be a part of your organization!!! #rollon
I just wanted to tell you how amazing Kindred Hearts Transport Connection, Inc is. In the fall of 2017 a little chocolate Beagle we named Nader was in a foster home after being rescued from a kill shelter and then being displaced after the devastating hurricanes in Florida. I was contacted by a friend who wanted to know if I could help place this little 4 month old puppy and fell in love with him at first sight. Living in Iowa I thought there was no way I could afford to get him to us. I was directed to Kindred Hearts where an amazing journey of getting volunteers to drive, making sure he had overnight accommodations, and making sure everyone and everything would be safe and as easy as possible for a three day trip. Because of Kindred Hearts I was not only able to rescue him I now have a very sweet, loving addition to our family. You can’t find a more loving group of people if you need them they just come in and help you and don’t ask for anything but you to love your new fur baby. The pictures I’ve added are of Nader with his volunteer transport people on his overnight stays and along the way. As you can see he had a blast, even getting to help with dishes in the morning. I love this group and would give them 10 stars if I could⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In March 2017 my neighbors, Vicki & Sterling advised me that they would be moving from Texas to So. Dakota to be closer to their daughter. Vicki was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Sterling needed his daughters help to care for her. When I was told this, I asked ... Hope Bud (their 12 yr Beagle) likes the cold weather. At that time, they informed me that Bud would not be going. Their plan was to drop Bud off at a Shelter and sadly we know what would happen to him being an older dog. I was heartbroken, disappointed and angry and I knew at that time, I was on a mission to save Bud !!! After many phone calls, e-mails, etc. and alot of “NO” we can’t help. I finally got a “Yes” we can help, I spoke with Brenda Collier with PetNet. Through her network, we were able to find a rescue in LasVegas that would take Bud. Now .... we had to get Bud from Texas to Las Vegas in a relatively short time. Step in Kindred Hearts Transport Connection !!!! They and their awesome group of volunteers managed to pull it all together. Peggy Cook added me to the Drivers PM so I could see and watch how this all would come about. I can’t even say how much I was impressed by a group of total strangers who all came together to save my friend, Bud the Beagle. Bud was loved and cared for on every leg that got him closer to LasVegas. Thanks to every volunteer with Kindred Heart Transport Connection, Bud is now in a loving home. A long way from being in a cold shelter along and scared. I was so impressed with KHTC that I became a volunteer myself . For over a year now, I have been a Monitor for their transports helping other dogs get to their forever home. Being part of this group has been one of the most rewarding things I have done. I love being part of an organization that has the passion and love for helping so many rescued dogs get to their forever homes. And when you see all the happing endings.... it just warms your heart and soul.
In 2015, my family decided to adopt a sweet boy who was in a Georgia shelter, and had been for a year. We started making arrangements for transport, and then my husband and I were in a serious car accident and I fractured my spine in 3 places. I was newly pregnant and unable to do much if any moving, let alone travel. Volunteers drove multiple legs of a long trip to get our boy to us in Kansas and we are so beyond grateful.
I’ve been both a Volunteer Driver as well as a Rescue Coordinator using KHTC’s services for several years. As always, I am tremendously impressed by the depth of professionalism, concern, adherence to Best Practices, and the just plain KINDNESS of everyone I’ve met through this organization. When asking to have a dog transported, I KNOW that it will be done safely, accurately, gently and LOVINGLY. Can’t say enough good things—file space limited!!!;-)) Special love from Holmes (formerly Homer)—forever grateful for KHTC Rescue/Emergency Foster/Transport and now HOME!
Last September I fell in love with a little Chihuahua named Sammy, i emailed the rescue and adopted him but he lived in California and I lived in Michigan. Enter Kindred Hearts Transport Connection to the rescue!! The experience I had was amazing, they truly cared about him as much as I did and I can't thank them enough :))
One of my 2 dogs passed away last September at the age of 16. After spending months looking for her replacement locally and online, we found a little girl in rescue in Tyler, Texas named Peppermint. I live in Napa, California and was surprised to learn that the Kindred Hearts Transport Connection would transport her to Napa by car using a number of volunteers driving an incredible number of legs (28). The entire transport was executed flawlessly and Peppermint (now named Samantha) arrived in Napa on schedule and in good spirits. This was an incredible organizational accomplishment and I cannot express my thanks enough to the Kindred Hearts Transport Connection organization, all of the volunteers who participated in this transport, and especially the transportation coordinator ANNE THOMAS. YOU FOLKS ROCK!!

I love being a part of this amazing group of people who all join together and help transport animals to their forever homes and rescue.
I love driving for KHTC ! They are very thorough and on time and help soo many animals get to their rescues or adopting families! They are a great group and I am proud to be a part of it!!

We had to get this baby out of Miami due to BSL quick to Albuquerque, NM and Service Dogs Of New Mexico. I saw his photo o 1 Lucky Dog Rescue site and was familiar with the incredible work they do. I also knew we had to move fast. I knew this boy would fit in our program as a Service Dog for a veteran. Kindred Hearts stepped right up and put him on emergency transport. Thanks to amazing volunteers and some snow, sleet and ice, unplanned overnights, Bronx was delivered safe and sound to our home. Not even a week later he met his wonderful new life partner, Kristi White, an army veteran with 2 tours in Afghanistan and they are a perfect match. Every dog needs a job and to be a service dog for a veteran is one of the highest honors for a dog in our book. His name is now BOSS and he accompanies Kristi everywhere and has been a life changer for her. We cannot thank the volunteers and staff with Kindred Hearts Transport Connection enough for getting this wonderful boy here and in his new role as Service Dog to one of our Veterans. Thank you.
I have had the pleasure to transport for this group and must say the coordinaters are awesome and does wonderful work to get these furbabies to their new journey in life. I am honored to be part of this group.
I had the privilege of helping with my first transport with Kindred Heart. They are a well organized and professional non profit transport group. It is my pleasure to volunteer with them!
Two years ago, we fell in love with a puppy in east Texas who was about to be euthanized. We were referred to KHTC as a means to get him from Texas to northern California. They were very thorough and very professional. After the initial set-up, it took two weeks and countless volunteers to get our puppy to his furever home with us. We have made so many friends along the way and as a result, have become volunteer transporters ourselves. All my wife and I can say is this organization is the best and very committed to what they do. We will support them until we are no longer here on this earth.
Professional, phenomenally well organized, caring, and wholly dedicated to saving lives by helping furbabies get to their Furever Homes!
Thanks to KHTC I was able to save this beautiful girl from a shelter in Texas only days before she was set to be euthanized. I would have never been able to afford the cost of being Josie all the way from Texas to Alberta and KHTC made it possible. I (and Josie) will forever be grateful. (And don't worry, Josie has fattened up since her shelter photo) :)
I volunteer as a person that coordinates the pickup and dropoff locations and times. Everyone I work with is very kind-hearted and has a deep affection for the animals we're helping. I am proud to be a part of this team.
A top notch, well organized, well run group for whom I am happy to transport anytime my schedule permits.
This organization is professional, well-organized, and supported by a passionate, motivated group of volunteers. KHTC quite literally saves lives! ❤
I'm a volunteer rescue transport driver for KHTC. This is an amazingly well organized, compassionate, competent group of prople.

Extremely well-organized, compassionate group of people. Being a volunteer transporter with this group has been amazing. They are "at your side" throughout each transport, ready to help in any way they can. The transport coordinators are in constant contact with the drivers, monitoring progress and making sure the drivers and furry passengers are safe. Love this group!
I am a volunteer driver for K HTC. On the trips I've driven I have found them to be well-organized and a lot of fun. I've met new people and have been inspired by the ability of strangers to work together for a common cause. K HTC is a great organization and I am proud to be a part of it.
I am proud to say I am a transporter for KHTC and I truly feel they are a great organization to be a part of.
I do transport runs for many groups but none are as organized yet flexible as Kindred Hearts. It is always a pleasure to drive on one of their runs.
I am a stay-at-home wife, recently retired and was looking for something to fill my time. I saw on FB the opportunity to transport rescued animals, primarily dogs and cats, all over the country to their "fur-ever" homes. I am an animal lover and thought this could be the perfect match. Boy, was it! I've been transporting since Nov. 11, 2015. It's been the most rewarding opportunity in my life. The people who organize the runs are organized, helpful and professional. Very down-to-Earth and friendly! For a non-profit organization, this is truly one of the best!!!

I volunteer with this group and do everything from being a travel coordinator to a volunteer driver. This is the most professional loving group that I have ever been associated with. It's all about the animals. The drivers are the most dedicated people I have ever seen. They go up and Beyond every time
I have transported for KHTC several times through north Texas. Never a problem - TC always available. Keep up the good work

I am very new to Kindred Hearts
But find them very professional and we'll organized. A very safe and caring group with one mission, to save the babies out there who need love and a chance!
Well done Kindred Hearts
I have done several transports for this group over the years. Would love to do more, but being in a "corner" of the country means there aren't a lot of transports through this area, unfortunately. Love KHTC because they are well organized, give very specific instructions and give continual updates before, during and after each transport. I also love that they do home checks and don't just send a pet off blindly to whoever/wherever. They not only help a lot of pets get to good homes/rescues, but also show a lot of caring and respect for their volunteers.
This organization made it possible for my sweet foster Brian had a terrible start to life and we found him the perfect home 750 miles away. Everyone from the intake person Lori Koss, to the transport coordinator Bridget Plinkard and all of the 11 people who did the transporting. I am so grateful for the way my boy was handled start to finish. Amazing group.
I have done overnight fostering for their transport dogs twice a month for over 2 years. The Transport Coordinators are excellent, there is great team communication among the drivers, and the safety and comfort of the dogs (and occasional cat or other animal) is always the top priority.
Most professional people to work with. They love and care for the animals in their charge. From start to finish they are amazing.
Love driving these furbabies and meeting some wonderful folks. Organized and always ready to help. So blessed to be a part of this great program.
My husband and I transport for this group. They are organized, give very specific instructions and continual updates before and after our "transport legs." This group helps so many animals! Volunteers are treated with love and respect. Thank you for caring.

Without wonderful people like you we could not do what we do!
I've driven for KHTC for 2 years now. What a wonderful volunteer gig this provides. All the critters take a little piece of my heart, but there is boundless love to give. Last year was super special as I got to transport 4 dogs that came all the way from Iran. I'm adding the picture of the two little guys from Iran that have a condition called cerebral Hypoplasia. They were going to a special needs dog sanctuary in Idaho and I got to be the driver in part of Oregon. Followed their progress and was overjoyed to learn they had been adopted together. Well, I can't find the picture :(
Easy to work with and doing good for animals. I drive a leg for them every few months when a dog's rescue journey passes thru my area. Trips are well organized and monitored.
This organization has absolutely blown me away with what they can accomplish! The amount of dogs they have saved by constructing such an impressively expansive network of caring volunteers always energizes me to want to do more! Absolute miracle workers!
I've helped KHTC as a volunteer transporter several times. Their attention to detail makes complex cross-country transports go off like clockwork. And the work they do--getting rescued dogs to forever homes thousands of miles away is remarkable. Each transport is handled as a series of perhaps 100 mile legs, multiple legs in one day, so you can imagine the coordination involved.
Very, very impressive organization serving dogs and the individuals who want to adopt them.
WOW! the BEST people and organization !!!!!!!!!!!! They help so many in need. Go beyond just the transport. I will always do my best when I am able to help them!
I cannot say enough about Kindred Hearts. I honestly am not sure how I found them but their mission is incredible. The easiest way to explain it is just to tell our story how we were involved.
I came upon a story where they were looking for people to help take a section of a transport for a dog and a cat. In this case a section is referred to as a leg in the trip which is usually an hour or so long and then you meet up with another transport volunteer to take them through the next leg. So on and so forth til they reach their final destination. Well anyway, this was an unique dog breed that I forget now and I was intrigued and being that I love to drive, my family and I decided to spend a gorgeous summer afternoon helping. We met the previous transporter, got all the papers and supplies transferred and then finally met the fur children. While that cat was in a kennel and not real sure he was loving this idea; the dog was in Heaven! I think his name was Jax and he was HUGE but such a love bug! Turns out this transport was for a military family that had been transferred from GA to Alaska (talk about a shock to your system)! Now they were in Alaska and waiting on their awesome boys. I believe total transport took over month and lots of overnight stops and they were still working out details when we were on our part but it was the most awesome experience ever. I even asked is I could trade and keep the dog and cat and sending my son as he was being naughty that day!
All joking aside, we loved our transport and have even worked with some other rescues doing transports now because Kindred Hearts just doesn't have many going through our state. Anyway it was an absolute blast and I would do it again in a heart beat!
I often transport for this organization; it is a caring and well oiled mechanism that survives solely on the concerns of animals and their welfare.
I have driven/transported for this group and proud to be part of such a caring and professional group of people. Many checks and balances in place and KHTC sets the bar very high when it comes to pet transport!
Very well organized transports that run on time. I have enjoyed transporting for them a few times. Nice experience.
My husband and I have been transporters for Kindred Hearts Transport Connections for about two and a half years now. They are a stellar group and follow strict protocols to keep animals safe while they are being moved from the life they had to their new life. All transports are closely monitored and multiple references are checked for all drivers
KHTC is an amazing organization. Two weeks ago your amazing team of drivers got our rescue cat from Texas to Virginia. It was amazing to follow the volunteers as they carried our cat, Pharaoh, across the country. There were 19 legs of the trip in all. The care and devotion of your team of volunteers is truly exceptional. Thank you all so much!!!
My Wife joined KHTC about 2 years ago, I would go on "runs" with her sometimes. The dogs we transported were so sweet! I eventually joined too. About 3 months after we were the "team", my wife was on line with one of the transport coordinators, Kevin in PA. He mentioned there was a pot belly pig up for adoption in N.J.- We are in Northwest GA in the mountains . I had my beloved Pot belly "Pinky" pass away from heat stroke a few years before this. He had vision issues and either was being harassed by a stray dog, or he just became confused. We found him on our lawn. I was devastated!
My wonderful wife Teri had all the adoption processes going for Simon. i was supposed to get him in November for my Birthday. there was a LONG vetting process. Pot Belly Pigs are not a adoption you take lightly. Pigs are smart, they can be very stubborn, and without either someone to guide you, pigs can be a hard pet to own. Being experienced and having a very large area for Simon to roam and have fun, we were finally told he was ours.
Kevin helped us get all our ducks in a row as far as the transport end goes: Health Certificates (don't even THINK about bringing a Pot belly Pig across a state line without the paperwork!) Kevin and KHTC's Colleen Reith Viccaro got the trip organized and Drivers clamored for a chance to drive Simon! He had an overnight stay needed, and another angel, Paula Egleston help a "PIGJAMA" party in Simon's honor. 13 different drivers from NJ all the way to our front door- 855 miles, and 2 days worth of trael got Simon to us, Happy , WELL-FED, and excited to meet his new family. We have now had Simon since the beginning of March. He roams the property, or is in the house, messing with our 6 rescued dogs. KHTC exceeded all expectations in transporting our baby! the group even made a wonderful Slide show of Simon's trip from the rescue in NJ to our house. I cannot stress the Care, concern, safety and LOVE Simon had during the entire trip. If you would like to see the Slideshow the URL is https://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=oTKSmA4uz68&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DM4CEtusqG90%26feature%3Dshare. If you are on facebook, You can see Simon and his progress since we took ownership at https://www.facebook.com/Simonthepotbellypig/?fref=ts. As a Driver, I am so proud to be a part of this amazing organization as a Client- I can't say enough about all the wonderful care KHTC gave to making sure every need and Whim (and believe me- Pot Belly pigs are prone to whims!) they could provide. If you need a pet transported- call KHTC. there is NONE BETTER!
You all sound so great, but I desperately need help or our little doggie, Angel will have to be put to sleep. My precious 35 year old daughter passed away while in Cadiz, Ohio. She was visiting and had her little service Chihuahua with her. The woman she was visiting cannot have animals in her apartment and can be evicted if she does not get rid of Angel. She has stalled since August 19th when my daughter, Tanyah passed away very unexpectedly. I am 71 and have an extremely bad heart and cannot do much. I just had moved across Texas so I could be by the specialists at Baylor as I need oblation and/or open heart surgery. I have Tanyah's 3 children. We cannot wait for a 21 day quarantine, and I cannot fill out all the papers. I have done about all I can. Loosing a child is not easy. Please can someone help. I have tried so hard. My phone is 936-414-3089. Some one called once and Anna, my grand daughter wrote the number wrong. We are all so upset. Please, please help.
21 days? You aren't rescuing anything. Most dogs are put down after six days. So you just transport what the shelters view as adoptable
.
Transport is the rescue I can still participate in as I get older. Having been around awhile, I have rarely had the privilege of working with a more professional group as KHTC. Every time, the smoothness of the time tables and concern for safety of the operation astounds me. Love this group!
The transports I help with are always so organized, and on time!!
I know a lot of work is put into organizing cross country transports, and everyone needs to be commended for helping so many sweet babies on to a brighter future!!!
Very organized which is helpful to the drivers, but the best part is the absolute dedication of the KHTC members to their mission.
I have done Rescue Runs (transport) several times over the last couple of years. The dedication and compassion that is shown by everyone is phenomenal. They seem to never tire, never give up. They care so much for their drivers that they want to know after a transport if we got home ok !!! The precious lives that have been saved makes you want to do more. Oh and lest I forget: Occasionally we get to transport babies !!! I go into little girl EEEEEEEE mode. Actually do the same for little old men and women too, Ok all of them... Please consider helping them out, they wear many hats and appreciate any help they get. Love you all and thank you for trusting me to volunteer.
Love this group. I am a volunteer transporter. All involved are dedicated and the love for animals is clear!
Wonderful organization that I had the opportunity to help transport a dog once. They are truly lifesavers!
I LOVE THIS GROUP!! I started by volunteering to transport. They are so conscientious, and go above and beyond to ensure each animal arives safely. When I saw a post for a senior tripod pitbull at a high kill shelter, in another state, I didn't hesitate saying I would adopt her. I knew I was part of this amazing group that would treat her like the previous cargo she is. She is now a part of our family. I volunteer to help them every chance I get and get to spend some time to make each animal feel loved and help them on their way to the furever family they deserve.
I have been a volunteer for KHTC for 3 years.
Every transport I was privileged to be part of worked like a well oiled machine from start to finish.
They provide all the information up front to each volunteer so there is no mistakes.
Yes there are delays sometimes and sometimes we run behind but we all know staring our day that can happen.
The coordinators are always on top of every situation and is in contact with each volunteer before and after each transfer.
My wife and I once helped transport a dog that started in East Central Florida and went all the way to Oregon and we were able to keep up with the progress from start to end.
We are proud to be part of this great organization.

I work rescue and bless this group. I get stuck moving a dog and all I have to do is ask!!! Bless them as they save so many!
I am one of the volunteers for Kindred Hearts and it's one of the best groups I've ever been a part of. The amout of work and coordinatiom they do to safely transport animals to a better life is unbelievable. I'm am thrilled they I am able to be part of such an incredible organization.
I've had the honor of being a part of such a wonderful caring and giving organization.
KHTC will organize a transport from Texas to Rhode Island - have someone on call should anything pop up during the animals trip - The times I have worked with this group - it is all planned out, executed and animals arrival safe and without incident.
My hats off to the staff - they go above and beyond
I've been a volunteer for KHTC for several years and they are top notch! Extremely careful about rules for transporting. There have been some absolutely wonderful stories of the animals transported from one end of the country to another by the great volunteers. This is a much needed service and I'm so glad that it continues each and every week of the year!
This group is a great group of volunteers that is very well organized and always has the well being of the animal(s) in mind. The volunteers are always in contact and keep everyone updated with any new information regarding each and every transport that they are doing.
A lot of caring wonderful people volunteer to make KHTC animal transports save so many lives. It's a great organization that arranges animal transports from coast to coast! They are well organized and very friendly, love helping drive with them when we can.
Over the last couple of years I have driven more than a few transport legs for KHTC. This is one fine organization, the transports are well organized, the coordinators are top notch and the drivers are the best. I am proud to be a small part of this group, helping animals to safety. The photos L-R are my first transport, he was just happy to look out the window after being in a shelter. The most fun pup, bounce around the back just plain happy on transport, and the cutest, pulled 2 hours before the were to die. KHTC with its fosters partners, coordinators, and drivers are doing outstanding work.
Kindred Hearts Transport is an amazing organization. A necessary element to the most important work of animal rescue.
I have been driving for KHTC for awhile. They are very organized and caring. Very happy to volunteer my time for them.
I am the President and Co-Founder of a rescue who has used KHTC for transport for dogs from the south up north. This is a very organized and serious operation! They leave no stone unturned, every detail is covered and we feel safe knowing our dogs are in safe hands with their volunteers. The process takes time but it is worth the peace of mind knowing your dogs are in experienced hands. KHTC is the best!
I have been volunteering and driving for KHTC for about two years, and they are an excellent organization staffed by caring, kind wonderful people. I have met many nice people who are also volunteers and love the animals they transport. If it were not for KHTC many of these animals would not live. Their work is invaluable to the Rescues they serve and the animals themselves. I consider it an honor to volunteer with this worthy group!!!!
I've met the best people on Earth through this organization. The teamwork and time dedicated to giving animals that freedom ride out of hell is astonishing. Husbands and wives, mothers and daughters, best friends, boyfriends and girlfriends...I've met them all on a journey to make this world a better place. These people are always friends of animals and the Earth. This organization is a Class Act and so are the people gettin' it done!
I have been a volunteer driver for KHTC for over three years and have only had positive experiences. Their concern for the passengers and drivers is truly commendable. The transport coordinators are dedicated to make every transport a safe, successful one. I volunteer for a few other groups and the difference is sometimes sadly, very obvious. The service they provide is invaluable!
As both a volunteer and a client I have the unique insight to both ends of this group. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. For volunteering this organization is very well organised. The runs go smoothly, the hand offs are on time and communication is frequent and easy. As a client having an emergency rescue in New Jersey and needing to get the dog to Missouri, I could not believe the quick response and thoroughness provided. Within 48 hours a foster home was located and within 4 days the dog was placed with foster family. She stayed in foster care until the transport was set up, approximately4 weeks. While in foster KHTC had my vet reference checked, a home check was done and personal references verified to make sure they were transporting the dog to a good responsible home. That made me feel even better about my volunteer work! My new minpin arrived happy, healthy and on time! Thanks for letting me be a part of such an amazing group!

I have transported dogs with this group 3 times now and very impressed with organization and the flow of information. Great people, amazing dogs and you really feel a part of a family
I started volunteering with KHTC about 3 years ago at the suggestion of a local shelter volunteer, and I must say it has been the most rewarding thing I 've ever done! The transport coordinators and other volunteers are all so friendly, caring, and professional. I have met so many nice people and helped save dozens of dogs' lives. Highly recommend KHTC to anyone needing transport help, as well as anyone wanting to volunteer with a wonderful organization!

Thank you for your kind words.
KIndred Hearts Transport Connection is amazing! They helped bring back my doggy Jade after a failed adoption. Within a short time, Jade was transported home to California from West Virginia. They are comprised of wonderful people who love the dogs, are responsible and are committed to the safety and well being of the fur babies in their care. I have also signed up as a driver, and was so happy to be part of one leg that brought Jade home. Kindred Hearts is the real deal! I am honored to know this group, and i look forward to future driving opportunities!!!!!
I have done a few transports for kHTC I love helping the dogs get to there new homes. If you are looking to get involved in helping animals but can't foster or adopt I would highly recommend driving for KHTC I promise every transport you do will make you smile and fell warm and fuzzy.
These folks are amazing! They have transported several dogs from my shelter in TN to different parts of the U.S. They are thorough and very quick with responses. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing transport assistance!
I have driven for this organization for the past two years and I can tell you that you will not find a better organized support staff anywhere. Their love and concern for their passengers in apparent. I have to say I have never had a bad experience and have met some wonderful volunteers along the way..
I just started transporting for them and I have to say WOW what a great very organized group from start to finish. I can't wait to help again
I have volunteered with KHTC for a few years now and had the priviledge of working with the most dedicated and caring people. I've transported pound dogs to Recues and adopters, and rescues to training for being a service dog, and I've taken dogs into my home for overnights in their multi-day journey to cities and towns where they are wanted and will be adopted into great homes.
Kindred Hearts leadership, coordinators and volunteers are focused on the well-being and safety of the critters they transport, whether they are going across a single state or across the country and even across borders. They involve and engage a large number of teams that come together for each transport, and each transport gets the attention, coordination and support to be successful. They maintain standards that are far in excess of what other transports I have worked with use. This is really an amazing organzation!
This transport group KHTC is the best group i have ever transported for they are really thorough in how they transport their animals I would trust them with my own and highly recommend them
I volunteer with them. Its so wonderful how simply driving a little can help save so many lives. Also have fostered and fell in love and will soon be getting our new baby home because of KHTC.
I got the joy of helping with a transport everyone really works together to make it safe and happy! I just love what they do helping get our furry friends home.
I saved my first dog and I was hooked. I now have been involved with fostering and transporting many dogs and working with KHTC makes my life fulfilling. They are an AMAZING group of people and will transport with them till I can no longer drive. My life's mission is to save as many dogs as a can, to make a difference in their world before I leave this life. Thanks for all you do KHTC, Nancy Bongiovani
We have transported for Kindred Hearts on three seperate occasions and have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people as well as helping fur friends to their forever homes.
This group is well organized, dedicated and committed to helping loving animals get to loving homes.
Thank you for allowing Michael and I to be part of this amazing organization.
I drive for KHTC and always have a wonderful experience! The animals are priority and the drivers and coordinators are always so sweet and appreciative! :) ♡
Im a transporter for Kindred Hearts Transport Connections. This is an awesome group of people who truly care about the safety and welfare of animals in need. This organization is very professional and the people I've met on these transports are phenomenal! Some of them will be friends of mine for life! My life has definitely changed for the better since the day I realized how easy it would be for me to help animals in need, just by giving them a ride!
Having driven for KHTC on numerous occasions I have met the most caring and appreciative people in the world. There is nothing more important than the safety and stressless transitions for the animals. I myself needed to have them transport 3 puppies from OK to the east coast. I knew without a doubt they would be well taken care of just as if I was driving them myself. They are at the top and I will continue to help as needed.
October, 2014 I started the adoption process of a Mastiff out of Miami Dade Animal Shelter, a kill shelter. He had been pulled by wonderful people, but still needed his furever home. I filled out the application from KHTC to get him transportation from Miami to Iowa. WIthin a few weeks time, it was approved and our traveling dates were set. EVERY single one of those people who helped get him home, were so amazing. Everyone loved him and I even had offers to take him if it didn't work out in my home. He had to spend a few days in Kentucky because of the weather and a few days in St. Louis to make his next ride, but everyone took amazing care and was sending pics the whole trip. St. Louis even took him to the vet for a new health certificate and a look at his eyes. I can't say enough about these people. I even keep in contact with the last leg gal....she has volunteered to board him when we will be out of town...How amazing is that? I will def be using KHTC when I need their services again.....Love to all involved in gettting Truman home to Iowa.....You guys ROCK!!!
I first learned of KHTC last year when my senior Giant Schnauzer needed a way to get from our home in Arizona to our home in NY. Much too old to fly, KHTC was there to plan the trip. They had a sense of "urgency" that we really appreciated. Now, I volunteer for this awesome organization, processing applications, providing transport in the Tri-state area of NY, NJ and CT. Cannot do enough!
I am forever grateful to Kindred Hearts. This organization is STELLAR!!! I was attempting to adopt a dog (now Ozzy) from a high kill shelter in California, but upon investigating air fares I found out it was VERY expensive. Knowing that this little guy only had that afternoon to get out of the shelter beore being euthanized that day I was devastated. Then a friend of mine in Kansas recommended Kindred Hearts Transportation and the rest is a happy ending!! I was able to adopt him over the phone, made arrangements for him to stay in boarding until transportation was scheduled and Kindred Hearts made it all possible! His life was saved because of them and a wonderful rescue who helped me get him out of the shelter and into boarding! A few weeks later he was on his way to me in Illinois. During the entire phase of the transport it was an INCREDIBLE experience with contact and pictures during his entire transport. Such an AMAZING experience and such an AMAZING group of volunteers!! They care 100% about the pets they are transporting, doing references and home checks to assure the pets they transport are going to a good and loving home. The drivers are GREAT during the transport phase making sure that every pet they transport is safe and VERY well loved. (My Ozzy came home with treats, coats, pajamas and toys from the drivers and overnight fosters), something the transporters do out of love for the animals they transport. Since then I have become a volunteer for Kindred Hearts paying it forward to such an AMAZING organization!! Thank you Kindred Hearts Transportation for making a dream come true!!! (P.S. Ozzy says thank you too!!!)
I have worked with KHTC in several capacities and they never cease to amaze. Their love for the animals and their volunteers is endless. They work tirelessly, mostly behind the scenes with no recognition, to ensure that every animal that has a chance gets safely to their forever home. They ask not for donations, they don't lecture, and they don't judge. If someone with a good home has fallen in love with an animal in need, they will jump over the moon to ensure that the animal is transported in the safest manner . . .no matter the distance!
Their group of volunteers is a blessing to every animal in need. There simply aren't words to describe the good these folks do. Now, go sign up and drive a leg of a transport. . you'll be hooked in no time!! Many thanks to everyone involved with KHTC.
I had been looking for a dog to add to our family when I found a Pit Bull terrier in Texas named Patches. I had no way possible to get this puppy all the way to Kansas to her forever home with us. I was introduced to the idea of using a transport group by a Kindred Hearts driver and knew immediately this was my only hope to get our puppy home. After filling out the application to request the transport they advised me of the process and the same day I was contacted about when this would happen. I contacted the rescue group that I was getting patches from and set up the pick up by the transporter. By not even knowing that non profit transports exsisted and putting my paid for puppy in the hands of strangers was scary. By transport day emotions ran high and my expectations were exceeded. The people that volunteered their time, effort and gas to get my baby home are by far the best people I never knew exsisted. I received picture updates her whole way home up to the point of her arriving safely! I am a huge advocate for rescue dogs and now recommend anybody looking to adopt from afar to use Kindred Hearts to help get their furbaby home. I will forever be grateful to these volunteers and have had Patches for over a year. She is the best dog we could have been blessed with for our growing family and my daughter says they will always be best friends.
We discovered Kindred Hearts while trying to figure out how to get the dog we fell in love with who was in foster care in TN to our home in NJ - we had been involved in local rescue for a while, but had never contemplated something like this. The foster family down in TN recommended we look into Kindred Hears - and boy are we glad we did! Amazing organization, amazing volunteers, amazing experience.... our Kicchou spent two days in the hands of 8 wonderful people on his journey from TN to NJ and we have pictures from every single one of them along the way to document his trip. -in fact we were so moved by the experience, we volunteer to do transport work for Kindred Hearts now as well.... Gotta pass it forward!
I mostly volunteer behind the scenes and drive, however, I have had an animal transported as well. The care and love that was given to Daxter during his 2 day journey could never be measured.
KHTC is a wonderful and caring group of people that span across the USA. From coast to coast, each and every weekend, rescue transports are going on. KHTC assists with so many transports and all the volunteers never cease to amaze me. If you are looking to volunteer your time, this is the group to do it with. They have so many areas you can get involved with. I respect KHTC for doing checks on all animals before they agree to transport. In addition, they help with different resources to keep the animal safe until the journey home.
Kindred Hearts Transport Connection is an amazing example of how difficult projects can be divided into small, manageable tasks completed by a network of people. At its heart, KHTC uses regional transportation coordinators to divide lengthy pet transport drives (frequently over 1500 miles) among a networks of volunteers. These logistics are carefully timed to match one driver's drop off with the next driver's pick up in a continuous chain. Drivers complete their tasks lovingly and according to proper protocol. Everyone involved, from drivers to the final adopter, are kept informed in real time of progress, delays, and successes.
I recently received a new pet from KHTC, then the next weekend, volunteered for my first animal transportation drive. It was a rewarding experience to know that my direct action helped animals get out of harm's way and in to loving homes.
Wonderful, caring group of people. Take such good care of the fur babies! My Roxie the doxie came all the way to NJ from Arkansas. Thank you again!
After seeing a picture of an old limping hound at a shelter in west va who was slated for a heart stick within days , I started the ball rolling for a comfortable retirement for him here in Florida. So many jumped into the ring with me to save this dog. All people who I'd never met before. His foster, Dana Parsons, The London Sanctuary who were a wealth of info and moral support and willing to pull him right then and there had I not already done so, and the KHTC, who planned and executed the most amazing transport, with Connie at the helm! They kept me informed of every detail of his trip , with pictures and details - all at no cost. Without them Ace would never have been able to come to me. He is an amazing redbone coonhound , now happy, healthy, and very much a part of our home. Thank you so much KHTC for all you do! You are amazing, and your volunteers are all angels!!!!
On June 7 and 8, 2014, Kindred Hearts Transport Connection assisted me by utilizing their volunteer network to transport one of my rescue dogs from Atlanta, Georgia to its new owner in New Jersey.
Throughout the entire process, each individual treated my transport and my dog as if we were royalty. At any given time, I knew where the dog was and who it was with and if I had any questions, I had a dedicated Transport Coordinator I could call, email, or text message.
I would NEVER consider nor trust another group or organization when it comes to transporting my rescue dogs.
Thank you to everyone at Kindred Hearts.
This group is so valued for all the reasons mentioned in the previous reviews, not the least of which is the love and devotion shown every day by everyone involved.
I joined KHTC this year,I have done rescue for years but never have I met such a wonderful net work of volunteers.I have been blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group.Never have I met more caring loving people willing to help as many needy animals ,giving endless hours of time to follow threw with each transport. Each volunteer is a angel on earth and I am so Thankful and blessed to have met and become a part of this group, and to have gained so many new wonderful friends who share to same love for animals as I do and go above and beyond to help each other save lives of so many animals. Thank you to each member for all you do! the world needs more people like KHTC volunteers..
I have been volunteering with Kindred Hearts both as a driver and behind the scenes since March 2014. I love it! It is the best volunteering option I have experienced thus far in my life. I have met many wonderful people and am humbled to be included in this dynamic group. I am impressed with the organization dedication and communication of everyone involved
I've transported a few times over the last few months and find it very rewarding. The volunteers are wonderful, and it is great to see people opening their homes and hearts to the animals. I've recommended them on many networking sites since they transport through the United States to Canada.
I started off with Kindred Hearts a couple years ago as a transporter and overnight foster. It was the most rewarding experience in my life! The professionalism goes hand in hand with the personal touch and it is perfectly balanced. The staff cares greatly about the furbabies in their care and each one is looked after as if it's the volunteers own furkid.
Seven months ago I decided I wanted to do more and I trained and became a Transport Coordinator. This too is extremely rewarding! Every position is volunteer but the commitment and devotion that each person puts into their jobs is amazing. Many of us put many more hours into our "jobs" with Kindred Hearts than we ever did with our "real" jobs but we do it with a drive and determination to save furkids as many and as often as we can but most importantly doing it the right way!
I am extremely proud to be a part of this organization and all that it does! I look forward to the many years ahead and where this will go but I know I will be along for the ride :)
I have volunteered with Kindred Hearts doing several transports. I cannot tell you how much it warms my heart to see all the volunteers come together with the help of STELLAR transport coordinators in order to save lives like this!!!
Kindred Hearts also transported my rescue doggy Lizzy out to Colorado from a California KILL SHELTER where she didn't have much chance of being adopted due to kennel cough. This sweet doggy has changed our lives and enriched my small family in so many ways. I am eternally grateful to this organization
I volunteer with Kindred Hearts Transport Connection. What can I say about a group of volunteers who span the country to transport animals to safety? It shouldn't work...but it does. It works because the coordinators are incredibly dedicated and the drivers love what they do. I've transported seven times and had five dogs stay at my home. KHTC is very supportive, providing the rules and tips for a safe transport. Every driver I've met is helpful and professional. Every dog I've met has been so sweet! It's a wonderful and rewarding feeling to see an animal reach safety. This wonderful organization saves lives!
i have used them a few times for some rescued furbabys and i can say this you wont find a more loving transporter group or rescue around, their hearts are in it 110%.
I have had the privilege of transporting for this wonderful organization for about 6 months. They have strict rules about the care of the critters being transported. These are for the safety and security of both the pet and the transporter. They have provided training information for novice transporters to help us get started and to refresh us as needed. They are detail oriented and give us transporters an hour by hour transport schedule so there is no doubt where we are to be and when. If a pet needs to travel and cannot be with their family, I highly recommend Kindred Hearts Transport Connection as the transport of choice.
Awesome and professional organization to work with. I have done numerous transports for them and love the people and how they love the animals and do so much for them. They are one of the best and I will enjoy work with them for a long time to come.
Best most well organized transports. Love working with the professional volunteers. Best transport company I've had the pleasure of working with. The animals are loved and and cared for every step of the way
KHTC has been great in assisting Forever Husky in not only regular transports but also Emergency Medical cases. The transporters did an excellent job in coordinating the entire route for the rescue animal and ensuring a smooth delivery of the animal. As the founder of Forever Husky, it's great to keep in close contact with the founder of KHTC to ensure any questions can be answered. Thank you Sherry for making such a great effort!
