The NGO is doing great and I am very happy to be part of as a volunteer and seeing them growing is the best thing ever.

This is my favorite animal NGO! I've seen their work first hand in both kolkata and Chiang Rai and they do amazing work. Not only do they help hundred of animals but they support the local communities in ways I've never seen an animal NGO engage in. You should definitely go on one of their volunteer trips and see it for yourself.

A great organization for a great cause! I've had the pleasure of volunteering with the thoughtful and compassionate volunteers and organization members. I love this NGO! I’ve been following their great work since it’s inception and it’s impact can’t be denied. I particularly love that many of the working team are from vulnerable populations and training them to work with animals is a part of their healing process, as well as, healing heal animals who desperately need it.

I met the founder while on a trip to India working on a humanitarian project there. He is First and foremost a big hearted humanitarian and APA was born of that. This is an incredibly worthwhile organization and worthy of any animal lovers support.

I had the opportunity to participate in the Animal People Alliance Volunteer Trip a few years ago(2016) and I witnessed firsthand the dire need for the acute care of street animals in the frenetic and chaos filled streets of Kolkata. During the trip we also were able to visit several local animal care facilities and I learned about the overall lack of resources and often poor quality of care available to these unfortunate animals. Animal People Alliance is not only helping to solve for these challenging problems by providing care to street animals. They are also helping to address the issue of impoverished youth in India. These young people (especially females) often fall victim to horrendous human rights crimes such as child labor, childhood marriage, prostitution and human trafficking - all because of the lack of employment and no way out of their current circumstances. Animal People Alliance helps by providing employment opportunities to these young and poverty stricken kids, offering a chance to take a much brighter and more productive path to independence and happiness. The people behind the organization are selfless, wonderful individuals that share a passion and love for BOTH our animal friends and our fellow man - improving lives and giving back in parts of the world where the need is greatest! Although I saw many sad and disturbing sights on that trip I walked away with a heartwarming and inspirational feeling of goodness and hope. I met the founder of APA in Kolkata in 2018 while volunteering with a different charitable organization and can attest to his compassion and sense of mission, and have subsequently donated since then. This truly is a dedicated group doing remarkable work.
APA is one of the FINEST organizations I know. I have been a supporter for years. The work they do is AMAZING! The love, light & goodness they share through caring for animals has moved me to make APA a beneficiary when I die. APA is a fantastic organization that provides a very valuable service in Kolkata, India and Chiang Rai, Thailand. I've witnessed their impact first hand in Thailand when I found a stray dog on the side of the road that had been abandoned and was severely dehydrated. I found their phone number online and a member of their staff, Jeed, came out to pick up the dog. I stayed in contact with them and visited the shelter about a week later and the dog was so much better it didn't even look like the same dog! I was amazed! The shelter is a very peaceful and serene place and they have dogs and cats all in need of a good home. I made a donation and will visit again when I return to Chiang Rai.
Animal People Alliance is a great team work. Tushar Da treats every animal perfectly. His treatment procedure is laudable.

Animal People Alliance is the honest nonprofit I am associates with last many years. The professional level of the their work amazed us day by day and the amount of handwork the staffs provide that is amazing. The most amazing part is they work 365 days non stop for the voiceless with the compassion and love for each voiceless.
I use to had a stray dog with me, who was almost 4 years old. On 3rd August 2022, he got injured with 27 bite marks all over the body, and under the ear their was a deep hole. It was swallowing so badly that I had to call this organisation for help immediately and they instantly came nxt day in morning after I informed what happened to that dog....and they cleaned all the bite marks then put medicines and gave 2 injections to my dog. It was seriously one of the toughest moment of my life to see my dog in that horrible condition, and they saved him......now I'm taking care of his medicines and he's getting better and stronger day by day Thank you❤️
I've seen their amazing sanctuary in Chiang Rai and was very impressed with the facility. The animals are able to make themselves at home on the property and spend time a lot of time interacting with each other and the staff. The animals are cared for very well with the space being very clean and organized, with lots of toys, scratch posts, blankets etc for the animals to feel comfortable and enjoy! I can't wait to go back!
APA really fill a niche in animal welfare. The stray dog issue in India is huge but they manage to provide emergency medical care to hundreds of dogs each month. It’s an interesting and new approach to tackle such a massive problem. They deserve your support.
This is a great organization making a huge difference to the lives of many animals. I was able to visit their project in Kolkata and witness their work first hand. The team is very professional and they really care for the animals they're helping. I also liked that half their team was made up of women and they were doing the same work as the men. I would highly recommend supporting their work.

As a founder and executive director of a non-profit organization, I know the amount of hard work that goes into starting a non-profit and sustaining it so the organization can further create an impact. I've been a supporter of Animal People Alliance through both monetary and social media contribution, as I watch and support from afar (in the US). This organization is doing some incredible work that is dangerous and difficult, but it's making a huge impact. Although the impact is focused on the animals that are being helped, there's a community impact where these street animals (mainly dogs) are treated with better respect and not as vermin. There's a big impact on the community in changing their hearts and minds, and it's spread to them from the work done by Animal People Alliance. Keep up the good work, APA and team!
I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with one of the founders for 9 years now! His dedication and devotion to improving human and animal welfare is inspirational. I have watched animal people alliance grow over time to become an amazing organization, and I truly expect it to continue to grow to service animals throughout Southeast Asia. The inclusion of a community engagement component to the nonprofit is wonderful to see. I believe the APA has designed a comprehensive system to provide care that will become a model for other NGOs to follow. Lastly but not least, I adore their inclusion of women on the veterinary team in a country where this is not typical.
A truly wonderful organisation that transforms the lives of otherwise neglected and vulnerable animals. I was lucky enough to witness this work on a volunteer trip in 2019 and saw first hand how it is making a difference to animals whilst working with the community and spreading awareness. It's hard to put into words how life transforming and magical this trip was. From the moment you land you are greeted with such warmth and beauty you feel right at home. There was so much love and care imbued in everyone and everything from the food to the people you met and especially from our APA team. I was blessed enough to get to shadow the APA street team and was in awe how quickly they sprung into action upon finding a street animal in need of assistance. I was amazed at how skillfully and quickly they were able to assist and comfort an animal in need and seeing the relief and love they brought to the street animals watching them transform in front of your eyes is something you will never forget. It was hard to not want to take every street animal home but APA has such an amazing system where they keep track of every animal and its location and continue to treat each street animal and ultimately finding its forever home. Not only do the animals have the support of the street team but the community is starting to form a web of support to help keep track of animals in treatment as well as report new animals in need of care. Having just returned from India and spending time with this amazing team I can say first hand that they are doing amazing work. Everyday their team goes right into the neighborhoods of Kolkata India to treat the street animals. Whether it’s doing a rabies shot campaign or treating injured animals they are making a real difference. They are doing so much more than just helping the street animals they are creating a culture in these neighborhoods of how to treat animals. I could see how the people in the neighborhoods really appreciated what they where doing and would jump right in to help when they could. That was really great to see. Another bonus is that APA is giving jobs to some amazing people that haven’t always had the best life but have so much love to give to these animals. Seeing their passion for these animals really inspired me. APA is making such a difference in the treatment of street animals and really showing people how to have compassion for these animals. An amazing organization in a much needed area of India.

I am lucky enough to be living in Kolkata, in the Behala area where Animal People Alliance work and on at least three occasions they have come out to help me and my friends when we have had issues with sick cats or injured dogs.
The team is a sight to behold on the streets of Behala. Always in their Animal People tee-shirts or white overjackets when they are doing treatments.
For me personally when my dog Baby was hit by a car they came out at a very late hour and worked over time trying to save her. Sadly she died 2 days later.

With animals and people coming together to help each other its mission benefits so many more than your regular animal NGO. Kolkata, India is home to a lot of NGOs and Animal People Alliance is one which succeeds in their most simple goals - provide emergency medical aid to animals in distress and educate people in the area to care about the stray animals around them. i personally know the small admin staff who exude the care and compassion that inspires equally hardworking and compassionate staff and volunteers to do hard, thankless work on the go, in the street, under difficult circumstances, their only thanks coming from the beseeching eyes or wagging tails of those experiencing kindness and love, perhaps for the first time. Being able to convey to the community that these stray animals deserve to be honored, respected and cared for is a challenge, but that, too, is what APA achieves.
It is my honor to donate to this great organization knowing that there are no fancy offices, no glamorous PR staff, just hardworking, dedicated animal lovers who achieve the simplest of goals.
There are countless organizations competing for the precious funds needed to sustain their existence. What sets APA head and shoulders above most is the integrity of its founders. Their focus and guidance have created an organization that not only provides much needed aid to street animals in India and Thailand, but also offers training and employment to at risk people.
I feel compelled to support their mission to shower animals with compassionate care and in so doing provide a model for change in how communities view their relationship and responsibilities to the dog and cats living among them. Isn’t that how real improvement will take place?
I have experienced their programs firsthand. The Kolkata unit has received extensive training and is often the first help onsite whenever there is an animal emergency. A new dog shelter is the cornerstone of the operation in Thailand. Brand new, it is already changing the lives of dogs in northern Thailand while offering training and employment to individuals at risk of exploitation.
