Mission: Preserving and protecting the waters of the mississippi, nissouri and illinois rivers where they come together in the greater st. Louis area. St. Louis confluence riverkeeper defend the rivers by: - patrolling the rivers from a boat to be constantly alert for possible pollution - regular testing of the water - educating those who live nearby and use the rivers - monitoring permit requests to discharge into the rivers - taking polluters to court if necessary - forming a large organization of "river warriors" to help in this constant effort
