Causes: General Hospitals, Health, Human Service Organizations, Human Services, International, International Exchange, Voluntary Health Associations & Medical Disciplines
Mission: AUMP helps pathologists and technicians be more precise in their work which results in improved diagnoses, and therefor therapies for the pateints of hospitals across Ukraine. What began in three hospitals in the late 1990s is now in six hospitals with several more ready to be equipped and trained.Because AUMP has no paid staff or expensive offices to pay for, we have been able to leverage just $10,000 in cash contributions into $950,000 in assistance delivered so far. We'd like to do much more, as the need is greater than anyone realizes. Life expectancy in Ukraine has decreased by ten or more years since 1991. Cancer and heart disease are major killers. Our work helps with cancer and many other diseases.
