At the annual meeting, the organization identified several area of great promise to improve human health through development and federal investment of regenerative medicine, food safety and sustainability, personalized medicine, chronic disease management and neuralremodulation therapies.
public policy - development & advocacy of sound public policies, particularly at the federal level, that foster continued advancement in medical and biological engineering and federal investments in r&d. Aimbe's leaders and membership work with representatives of other scientific, medical, and engineering organizations to educate public officials (in both the legislative and executive branches), regulators, the media and the general public about developments in the field. Aimbe hosted several meetings at other professional society events to inform the biomedical engineering community about various public policies that may impact their work.
