Mission: We empower vulnerable individuals to advocate for themselves and provide necessary support to help these individuals make sound health care and life decisions. We help people manage and resolve their financial and clinical concerns through information aggregation and discovery, identification, mitigation, resolution and prevention of problems, as well as continued support. We provide market research and understanding of issues that impact waste, fraud, and abuse along with access, meaningful use, healthcare delivery systems, electronic records, and reimbursement issues.
Programs: A. Patient advocacy support unit (asu) i. Provided assistance to 6 individuals in organizing their information into a healthcare portfolio. Issues including medical errors, financial errors, and access issues to appropriate levels of service. B. Victim support unit (vsu) i. Facilitated 11 individuals with billing errors. Education follow up provided on public assistance; understand healthcare billing; protection of identity. C. Healthcare management i. Facilitated access to 2 veterans with access and resource issues; 2 children with iep support issues. D. Wellness initiatives unit (wiu) i. Provided divorce advocacy to 3 families. Provided 2 families with food and clothing who has limited resources. Provided household items to 5 veteran status individuals. Facilitated public assistance for future needs. Donated tutorial support to one individual via an associate program.
