Causes: Arts & Culture, Music
Mission: To promote string performance and pedagogical ideals (focused on but not limited to the cello/cellist); and to preserve, archive and research sheet music, instruments, recordings and videos. The organization will further the cause of music making and scholarship in the areas of performance and pedagogy through the creation of new editions, re-mastered audio and visual recordings and organized seminars and festivals. In additional to scholarly pursuits, the organization operates within a larger, more universal perspective: with music's power to ignite hope and promote peace, the organization has as objectives to share music of the highest artistic caliber with under-served communities throughout the world and participate in the responsibility of creating a better world.

Annually, over the course of the two-week festival, icopr intimately interacts on average with 3,500+ school children, college students, public housing residents, disabled children, elderly persons, and the general audience members; and promotes classical music and education through live television broadcasts on wipr, cbs and liberty cable reaching 88,000+ people annually.
