Mission: The mission of america abroad media (aam) is to harness the power of media to inform america and the world about the critical international issues of our time. Aam produces domestic and international programming that seeks to elevate the quality of us media coverage of international affairs, and increase communication between america and the world. We reach 80 million listeners and viewers across the globe annually.
Programs: Aam produces international programming for primetime broadcast on leading television and radio channels in afghanistan, pakistan, turkey, tunisia and throughout the muslim world. Our programs and international town meetings connect americans and the world for dialogue on critical international issues, domestic and foreign, and feature interviews with leading policymakers, experts, and scholars.
america abroad is an hour-long international affairs public radio program distributed on more than 240 public radio stations across the united states through public radio international and in more than 145 countries through npr worldwide.
aam journalism fellowships bring top broadcast journalists from key muslim countries to the united states to learn about and report us foreign policy; to educate americans about their countries and cultures; and to produce programs for primetime broadcast in their home countries.
