Key programs include: - Helpline, a multilingual telephone information, referral and crisis-management service; - Professional care counselors (bilingual and bicultural social workers) who assist family caregivers by providing support, disease education, counseling, and help connecting with needed services; - Caregiver and community education programs, in a variety of languages; - Early stage support groups; - Memory Mornings, a program offering cognitively stimulating activities to people in early to middle stages of ADRD and their family caregivers; - Memories in the Making, a fine arts therapy program; - Over 100 affiliated support groups conducted in five languages; - The website www.alzheimersla.org; - Digital and printed educational materials, including a telenovela, in various languages; - Community service development projects called Dementia Care Networks; and - Dementia Cal MediConnect, a locally-led, federally-funded effort to improve healthcare for people with dementia dually eligible for Medicare and Medi-Cal.
