JDI has been a great organization to work with. They have always been there to assist with training or to answer questions regarding the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). Through our partnership with JDI we have really been able to move forward in addressing the PREA standards.

NA'AMAT has been a part of my life since before I can remember. My mother and grandmother donated their time, money, and love for the causes NA'AMAT supports and represents. The fulfillment I, myself, have gained by growing my own involvement in this organization is unmatched. I have continued to be inspired by the women all over the world who are putting others first so that we may ALL have a better, brighter future. The dedication by all the volunteers and staff is consistent, whole-hearted, and admirable, to say the least. If you are looking for a cause that supports women, children and families, this organization is for you!

Our family’s journey with Private School Axis has been incredible. Navigating the private school process can feel overwhelming, but the Axis team made it feel clear, supportive, and hopeful from the very beginning. What stood out most was their transparency, integrity, and honesty. They truly took the time to understand our family and guide us toward what was best for our child’s education. Private School Axis isn’t just an organization, it’s a community that genuinely cares about families and students. Once you become part of the Axis community, it truly feels like a lifelong partnership. We are so grateful for their support and highly recommend them to any family navigating the private school journey.

This should be the standard high school graduation gift for all girls. Nobody should start college, or a new career, or even adulthood without the tools this class gives.<br><br>I took this class because it was on my "bucket list" and my only regret is that I didn't take this class sooner. I now have lifetime skills to de-escalate a possible confrontation and successfully defend myself if necessary. And it only took 2 weekends! <br><br>

I had an amazing time going around the village with Linda. We saw the school and were greeted by the locals to chants and dancing. It was a surreal experience. I loved seeing and hearing about how the water wells helped the locals become more educated and more entrepreneurial. Thank you for the warm welcome I hope to be back.

I work on the Women Helping Women Services Counseling Talkline funded entirely by NCJW. It is a free community service where we talke to callers for up to one hour or more if necessary about their problems with work, child rearing, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, financial problems, homelessness, etc. To my knowledge they are one of the few organizations that spend unlimited time on the phone with a caller and also have virtually free unlimited one on one in person counseling with trained and licensed social workers. They also have extensive counseling groups in schools, shelters and agencies where these services are needed. Women Helping Children services are also very responsive to children's needs and their Advocacy programs are outstanding.

Until today, I was unaware of the Point Foundation. My late wife was a supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, but I was so affected by the letter in your request that I have added Point to my donations. Be kind to each other.

I am currently a volunteer at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. I am amazed that almost all of the reviews on this charity here are dated 2009, which was over 15 years ago! Many of these reviews are negative and no longer accurate. For example, the Center was certainly NOT a "huge billion-dollar venture" in 2013, as one reviewer asserted, nor is it today! (Its last-reported FYE revenues as of 2023 were $162,444,453 - nowhere close to one billion dollars!) I also know what the situation was for gays and lesbians and the Center in the 1970s, and I continue to be proud of the L.A. LGBT Center now. It is a well-operated and effective charity doing a herculean task in a country that continues to assault LGBT civil rights. If you can afford to, I highly recommend donating money to the L.A. LGBT Center.

I am working as a psychotherapist at PTV for 1 year and 2 months. I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and this experience is unique. The commitment, dedication and the incredible family, community work environment make our job so easy and pleasant!

Since learning about SSA about 3-4 years ago, I’ve been donating time and money to help the organization. It has a vital mission and everyone I’ve met associated with SSA is very passionate about achieving SSA’s goals. It’s a small and not widely known organization, but it’s having a huge impact on the lives of many high school and college students across the nation. <br> <br>SSA helps students with secular ideals to grow and connect with other like-minded students locally and across the nation. It helps protect them from discrimination and feeling alone in school. It strives to help students become citizens and leaders in their communities who promote the separation of church and state and the creation of governmental policies and laws that reflect intelligence, rationality, science, civility, and compassion for all. <br> <br>SSA partners with other national, secular organizations. However, it is unique among them because it's focus is on helping high school and college students achieve their secular ideals. Please consider contributing. Various religious organizations are spending a total of $1 billion a year to proselytize students starting with grade school. SSA is tiny in comparison with less than $1 million, but it does a great job leveraging what it has to maximize the help it can provide to secular students. <br>

PJA is an amazing organization that has helped to galvanize the Jewish community around critical social justice issues, particularly the issue of marriage equality. I am continually inspired and energized by their work.

I have worked with EQCA for several months now, and they have been nothing but welcoming and hardworking. The individuals I met during my time with EQCA are spectacular. I enjoy working alongside them as we work dutifully to help serve our LGTBQ youth in the Central Valley.

WRRAP assists poor women and girls across the U.S. who are unable to exercise their rights to a safe abortion because of financial concerns. Since the organization is staffed by volunteers, over 90% of all the money raised goes directly to pay for services for these women and girls at the clinics they choose. The money is a grant and does not need to be repaid. In over 70% of cases, the man abandons the woman when he finds out he's impregnated her. This organization does noble work.

As a previous fellow at FFAC, I was extremely grateful to learn as much as I did about the harms of industrial agriculture and factory farming. FFACs approach is not only intersectional, but allows participants to critically think about environmentalism and sustainability through a variety of lens. Every member of the organization is extremely passionate about the work they do and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with FFAC and continue to promote valuable messages about the many ways we can be kinder to animals, the earth, and ourselves.

If you could advise me... a Christian minister and church volunteers put on a weekly dinner for the homeless near the encampment area my son is living in. There is a stone picnic table and many flat concrete slabs to sit on for that meal.<br><br>The Riverside, California police harass the minister, trying to stop him from donating the weekly meals. Is there something that can be done to advise the police to let the minister alone? Do you know of any US groups who are working to ameliorate the misery of the homeless? Perhaps prioritizing availability of drinking water? <br><br>Thank you!

To Whom it may concern, <br> <br>My name is Tracy Resendiz, I am 54, I am a homeless college student with Covid. Before Covid shut the County of Ventura down, I also owned a business with 50 employees. Now, now I am living, if that is what you could call it, out of my car.I feel through all the cracks of the so-called funding that was out there for Covid, I did not receive any funding from our government, I am a taxpayer. I am mad, I am beyond frustrated, I do not have money, I am sick. I am also tired, very tired of asking for help. I am tired of being told to call 211 that they have help for the homeless. I am tired of being classified as homeless. I was quarantined for 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) and the public health department had paid for that. After the ten days I was told to leave I was better. How am I better when the test results still come back positive? How am I better when I am still running fever, tell me? How am I better when I am still coughing up blood? I am not better! I cannot find the words to explain how I feel. Disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel. I am beside myself. I have called everyone in the county of Ventura to just be put aside and not herd. I have called everyone from COC to the homeless network to 211. There is no help there. I jumped threw the hoops for The Whole person care organization. I did everything I was told to do, they promised there were motel vouchers that would house me until the beginning of January. Joe Ann Hernandez, lied. I asked for help from Joe Eckles, from the turning point foundation, he had promised to help with 3 months of rent. After a month's tie .He lied I was put out when he only paid one month. He said it was due to me not turning in paperwork. Once again, he lied. I turned in all the paperwork. I applied for housing is key funding no help as of, yet I was put out of the house. Where is all the funding? I want to know where my tax dollars are going. I want to know what state officials are are doing to help the citizens of Ventura County. I want a place to call home again. I deserve that I have worked and paid taxes. Now I am sick, broke and still trying to overcome homelessness and covid. Someone needs to listen to me. I need help! I do not want another phone number. I do not want another empty promise. I am someone's mother, I am someone's daughter, I am a grandmother. I am out here in the streets alone without gas, without a home, without clean cloths, I am sick and tired. I work! Dam it! But I can't right now because I am still sic. Do you want to know what I was told by someone at 211 I was told it was probably better I had a car to stay in so I would not infect anyone. What about when I need to use the restroom? Is anyone listening? God forbid if one day you should have to go through what I have been going through. It is a dam shame that this letter should even need to be written. I need help. I need someone to HELP me. <br> <br> MY UNEMPLOYMENT RAN OUT, I NEED SOME FUNDING TO PAY FOR THE MOTEL I AM IN UNTIL JANUARY 2022. I started as an intern at the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles, and now serve on its Board of Directors and Chair its Membership Committee. I am honored to be one of handful of Iranian Women to have served the League, perhaps it's only Iranian board member and Chair for over 90 years. <br>I have had the privilege of meeting so many amazing women who have dedicated their lives in serving the League's mission of informing the public and empowering citizens through education and advocacy. <br>Through our work, we are honoring the legacy of incredible women who fought so valiantly for us to have the right to vote. MALDEF is a very thoughtful and strategic organization. The President and General Counsel is a stellar example of leadership. The organization understands the needs of the Latino community and how to leverage legal and community strategies to empower the community. The organization tracks real results from both its litigation, policy and community strategies.

I was able to attend a Leadership Conference offered by Equality California, where profound leaders of the LGBTQIA+ community came to share their stories and offer advice for others looking to make a difference within and without the community. The presence of LGBTQIA+ panelists, moderators, and staff demonstrates Equality California's dedication to the community through its internal processes as much as its advocacy work.

The volunteers and employees of this organization work tirelessly to help individuals wend their way through the health care morass to be able to find optimum help for health care issues. They speak the language of Medi-Cal, Medi-Connect, Medicare, private insurance, etc. helping a variety of clients. they also perform outreach to other nonprofits and organization to help provide a guide for the patient. Very worthwhile organization in these days of confusing health care rules and misinformation.

For 21 years, CAUSE (Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment) has been aligning the empowerment of the Asian American community with wider civic benefit. They provide a platform to educate and mobilize our AAPI citizens, while deepening their connection to the wider community. This year, CAUSE has made monumental strides forward in attracting local and national leaders to advance the dialogue on how we can ensure that cultural inclusion leads to social contribution.

I joined late last year (2012 ) and wish now I had done my homework! This non-profit is a sham! Their events are not unique - they ride on the coat tails of events for other organizations and then claim the events as their own exclusive achievments, they pretty much scrape the bottom of the barrel, are hemorhaging money, and to top it all off, their executives and board are all involved in some kind of sex orgie lawsuit now. God only knows what's coming next with these people, but I'm not sticking around to find out.
