Our family has been blessed over and over again by the Allied Arts Council. Our entire family, including members from KC and all over NW Missouri, have been blessed with years of Trails West! The Art Sculpture Walk is fascinating and such a progressive idea. Also, Allied Arts Council work on so many events in the city, supporting, contributing, planning, making sure that the arts and the people who love it and make it in the region are served !!!

The Allied Arts Council sponsors some great programming. They run Artscape for children every summer. This has benefited my family as well as the whole community. The Sculpture Walk is another program which has led to tourism and also brings people to the downtown.
They also spearhead the Arts Fund drive and which benefits its member agencies. These agencies have given my children opportunities. They have also given entertainment to the entire community. They make St. Joseph a great place to live.

The Allied Arts Council each year holds an Arts Fund Drive that the Performing Arts Association receives a portion of through a grant process. If it weren't for those funds, the Performing Arts would not be able to bring professionally touring shows to the Missouri Theatre.
The same is ultimately true for many of the arts organization in the St. Joseph MO community. Thanks to the support of the Allied Arts Council the Performing Arts Association remains a viable organization.

As an AAC member organization, the Saint Joseph Symphony is eligible to apply for financial support through the Allied Arts Fund. Such support has always been important for a cultural presenter such as the symphony. In these pandemic days, it is absolutely vital. We were surprised and delighted to learn that the AAF had met their fundraising goal this season! Not only did they fulfill their financial commitment to SJS for the 19-20 season, but allocated the same level of funding for 20-21! This is a remarkable testimony to their efficacy in fund raising as well as their commitment to the arts orgs of St Joseph, MO.

I am a member of RiverSong, a Sweet Adeline International chorus. We are a small chorus of 29 women who love singing and sharing our hobby. It's often difficult for a small chorus to complete everything that needs to be done to put on a show, host a guest workshop, fundraising, prepare for Regional Competition, etc. With the help of the Allied Arts Council in St. Joseph, MO we are able to make things work. We've used their assistance in advertising and marketing as well as fundraising. They are my go-to sounding board. The Allied Arts staff has a lot of experience and shares willingly. We can always depend on them for help.

The Allied Arts Council touches the heart of our community through arts experiences, education, advocacy, and partnerships with member agencies. Because of a culture of collaboration, competition is minimized while experiences are maximized. Each month, elected members and representatives of member agencies promote the arts as a single voice. The arts are alive and well throughout our community because we are working together to reach the underserved, provide rich arts experiences, and to bring the arts and people together.
