Mission: The alliance franaise de seattle is a dynamic educational and cultural nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves the puget sound area. The mission is to promote the french language, increase understanding of french and francophone cultures, and foster francophone and francophile relationships.
Programs: The alliance franaise de seattle offers classes and programs of french language and culture to adults and children (including a baby club). In 2017, we offered more than 140 group classes including one cine-salon every month, one workshop on "chteaux" in the fall, ballet classes, book clubs and summer camps. We also conducted about 100 one-to-one classes. All together we taught over 1,200 students. Additionally, we have a choir which performs at different events organized by the alliance franaise de seattle. The alliance franaise de seattle also serves as an examination center for tef, tcf, tcf-dap, delf, dalf, daefle.
in 2017, the alliance franaise de seattle organized events open to the general public promoting french language learning and the appreciation of francophone cultures. These included, the caf de la francophonie, th des etudiants, bastille day, christmas dinner and market, and quarterly used book sales. The organization also partnered with other local organizations for the french fest, seattle international film festival, the french film noir series, and festinema for local schools.
