Mission: • APT provides professional stage productions and diverse performing arts to a broad-spectrum audience from downtown Allentown, in particular, and to the Lehigh Valley area. • APT launches performance theatre careers by sufficiently immersing resident actors in theatre operations and management, thereby giving them the confidence, skills and experience to eventually launch their own performance group, or even their own theatre companies. • APT encourages the tradition of theatre artists living and performing in the city of Allentown; it nurtures a resident acting ensemble who will perform relevant and accessible theatrical productions for the general public. • APT promotes the theatre arts, supports emerging playwrights and encourages individuals to enter the acting profession by providing internships to local theatre arts students.
