Mission:
Historically, Shia Ithaasheri Muslims have been an oppressed minority, even amongst Muslims. The Ahlul Bayt Society of Rochester is dedicated to the service of the diverse Shia Ithnaasheri community in the Rochester area. It promotes and facilitates the practice of Islam, in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed and his Ahlul-Bayt (pbut). The main goal is to nurture a Shia identity amongst its members in the context of a pluralistic American society, by providing social, educational, and religious enrichment programs.
