Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: To build leadership, increase awareness, and create collaborative opportunities to enhance overall well-being of African American stakeholders and the community.
Results: In 2010 we partnered with the City of Naperville (IL), and North Central College in organizing the first-ever African American Heritage which featured events, workshops, and performances to increase knowledge and awareness of the richness of African American culture and history.
Target demographics: Stakeholders
Direct beneficiaries per year: 225,000 African Americans and other stakeholders who live throughout the four counties of DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will in Illinois.
Geographic areas served: Serving the Far West suburbs of Chicago counties of Illinois: DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will counties
