Mission: Provide culturally specific prevention, education, and services to people of african descent who are living with or at risk of hiv/aids
Programs: Preventionhiv testing, counseling and referrals and peer early intervention services - services available m-f from 8:30 to 4:30 p. M. Number tested approximately 300 unduplicated individuals / 300 received counseling & hiv risk reduction education. In the peer eis program approximately 480 high risk individuals were reached, and 112 revieved hiv testing, counseling, and education as well as resources. Educationwillow (women involved in life learning with other women)and peer eis services which would be considered to be prevention and services (see stats above). 40 women living with hiv/aids completed the willow program; which consisted of 8 classes x 4 sessions each over a 12 month period. Medical case management and medical transportation. Medical case manangement consistently served 50 plus unduplicated individuals (cases open and closed during the year depending on utilization) on average 16 - 48 times during the year depending on client need, and transportation served approximately 116 unduplicated individuals consistently during the year.
