Programs: The corporation, established january 1990, is organized to provide services to prospective adoptive parents, adoptive children and biological parents considering adoption. When contacted by prospective adoptive parents, adoption planning provides education about adoption and supplies information and application forms. Having reviewed the information, the adoptive parents complete the forms and the agency helps them to reach their goal of adoption. If the adoptive parents wish to adopt internationally, adoption planning educates the families about the process, the risks, the cost, the possible delays and assists them with the preparation of the required home study. When contacted by a birth parent, the agency will meet with her, discuss her options, provide counseling and help her find a family with whom to place her baby. Counseling services continue after the placement if the birth parents wish to meet with the counselor. This agency cooperates with agencies throughout the country. It is a private agency receiving no grants.
