Adoptable Friends has my heart! The Board works tirelessly to keep the animals fed and happy and the volunteers never stop picking up the slack to make the wheels keep turning.
Calvin says "hello".
I am a board member, volunteer, foster, and adopter of Adoptable Friends and while they are small, they work very hard to help find great homes for the homeless animals in their care.
I have worked with a lot of shelters, but Adoptable Friends is the only one I felt such a connection to. The head of the shelter cares deeply for the animals she rescues, and it shows in everything she does. They constantly put on community events that help us save more animals and give them the care they deserve. They take the time to vet each applicant before adopting any of the animals out, and I'm insanely proud to be a part of such a compassionate and dedicated organization.
I am a foster for this organization. I took in a pregnant stray and the volunteers and Pam were great supporting us through the process from education to supplies.
Adoptable Friends helped me in a time of need - my girl, Ivy, needed a life-saving surgery in a timely manner and Adoptable Friends was able to help get us in quickly with a local vet and she was taken care of the same day. I am grateful that they were able to ease my stress and even made some phone calls to let them know we were on our way. Please consider donating, volunteering, fostering, adopting, etc through Adoptable Friends!
The people who run this shelter are absolutely amazing. They are sooo nice, and make you feel very welcome. The shelter is more money than most shelters, which is absolutely great for the animals. They love all of the animals, and you can tell they are just animal people. I would definitely adopt from them again. We love Dixie sooooo much, and she is a very healthy pupper.
