Mission: The mission of the consortium is to advance the principles and practices of integrative healthcare within academic institutions.
Programs: Membership services - as an organization we are committed to sharing information and ideas, meeting challenges together in a process grounded in the values of integrative medicine supporting member institutions and providing a national voice for integrative medicine. Our membership currently includes approximately 60 highly esteemed academic medical centers. Providing online services for dues payments, conference registrations, relevant information sharing, program updates and announcements, voting platforms, awards, materials access, online presence for public access, and more.
conferences/meetings - annual conference for members and nonmembers with like interests to collaborate and share information in the field of integrative medicine and periodic leadership meetings for strategic planning and governance.
hsra grant - as an organization we will, (1) provide uazpim with integrative medicine content expertise; (2) collaborate with cimpc to disseminate and sustain evidence based im curricula into primary care residency and other training programs, and (3) contribute to the evidence-base for im through our research activities and congresses. We will provide specific experts, coordinate dissemination activities with cimpc; and convene live interprofessional trainings. In years 2 and 3 of the project, the consortium will convene 1-2 day long interprofessional integrative medicine workshops for approximately 200 primary care professionals and trainees. These will be held in conjunction with the consortium's 2016 research congress and 2017 annual meeting.
