Well I was dx with non Hopkins lymona 10 plus years ago. I'm cancer serval and I meet my other half that was dx with Hopkins lymona 6 yrs or so ago. He came up here for a job and was suppose to go back home to Texas but fall in the love with me and we both been struggling with a place to call home as us being a family now. I lived up here about 5 yrs going on 6 yrs. I had a place for a 1 yr got evicted when COVID 19 hit and before they passed a law where we couldn't get evicted while that was going on. So I've had been homeless for 4 yrs out of the 6 yrs. I am working but the money I get I use it to stay at a motel until it's gone then back out into the streets and then trying to find a place to lay our head , it's been an ongoing thing and I'm exhausted and hate to have to worried where you are going and trying to stay close to bus terminal so I can get up and go to work. We had stayed in a tent last winter. But just getting to be to much. Afraid of losing your job because your so tried and hungry and want to take a shower. I'm just looking to see if I can have some help with getting us into a place so I know that I'll be set and pay my bills when there due. Just having trouble with getting started to get baçk into a place that we can call home
I met Brenda about 17 years when I started a new job, she was a client. Shortly after starting there Brenda was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly after that my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was devastated! Brenda was there with me and my family. Helping us with how to talk to doctors, things to do, etc. Brenda and the foundation are amazing!! We are more thankful than words could ever say. Brenda in now part of our family!
I met these folks at the Relay for Life. The kids are amazing and they were so polite. We met the founder Miss Rider a cancer survivor who met with my wife they had the same cancer. After that she had hope and a purpose. Thank you
I started helping with the foundation to help a freind of mine and was amazed at what all they do and the reaction when the kids perform. JUST GREAT!!!!!
I love watching the faces of the people the kids are singing to. I have many memories of places we have been that will stay with me and my son forever.
I contacted the founder Brenda Rider because my son was ill with a mass in his brain. He is only 4 years old, life isn't fair. Ms Rider talked me on the phone for an hour, just listening to a very scared and angry mother. Instead of jumping on my pity train, she turned it around so I and Caleb had the power. It's been 5 years since the first phone call to Brenda. God Bless the work she and her foundation does, we need more of them.

I met these people at a local racetrack called Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. These kids sang their hearts out doing the National Anthem. So nice to see patriotism in our youth. The person in charge , was very kind in talking with those asking questions about the kids. So I looked them up on FaceBook and their website. So wonderful we have a group like this in our area.
Our mission is to help cancer patients and those touched by cancer to get through this. By using music, art, poetry and comic books, we are able to reach almost every person. The foundation sponsors the ROCcK Children's Choir. The choir is comprised of patients, siblings and those touched by ages 3-17.The choir performs 70-90 events a year. These children enjoy performing at Relay For Life events, cancer camps, hospice and hope houses. They raise money for transportation and also give those they meet a cd with their songs, or Helping Hands Shirt and books. Money raised by A Way With Words Foundation keeps the ever growing ROCcK Choir in T-Shirts. We also publish poetry , children books and musical cd. "There's Hope in What We Do"
