There is something quite different with A Different Point of View (ADPOV), and its not just the name. When you take the notion of assisting @Promise Youth, people begin to reinvent the wheel. That is a difficult task to do, but I know that ADPOV has opened up a category that has rarely been used when doing this work with youth. Aviation as vehicle (literally) to create internal emotional and external social change is dynamic. Youth get the chance to explore fields in Aviation which is unique and it opens up the minds of these young folks to the possibilities of learning. With its unique way of mentoring youth both in the juvenile justice complex and not, youth get to interact with diverse individuals whom is otherwise impossible and lean about aviation, airplane mechanics, airport security, airport fire stations, air tower logistics, and many more. To top it off, ADPOV gives youth the opportunity to literally fly planes with positive, proactive mentors/pilots who care for the youth as much as ADPOV... We are creating individual change which then translates into social change. We believe in these youth.
