Mission: 9/11 environmental action is a 501(c)3 community-based organization formed shortly after 9/11 to call attention to the environmental health risks of the disaster and to advocate for a proper clean-up of the affected neighborhoods. Key to our mission is to ensure that residents, workers and students whose physical or mental health was affected get the healthcare they need. We raise awareness of 9/11 health issues and offer eligible residents and others assistance to enroll in the world trade center health program (wtchp).
Programs: A community - based organization of residents, parents and occupational safety, public and environmental health advocates to provide through their web-site, new alerts and networking. We work to inform and mobilize individuals and organizaions to prevent further exposures to 9/11 pollution, and to fight for a comprehensive clean-up and demand medical monitoring and health care for everyone harmed by wtc contamination.
